So my husband and I were planning to go to Disney in November for our anniversary, but we moved the trip up to sept instead. We leave sept 27 and I'm starting to regret moving it up because of the weather. I have been this exact week years ago but I can't remember how hot or humid it was.. Someone please reassure me the end of September will be ok lol

I cannot say specifically about September, but back in 2010 (I think) the DW and I went in August and it was VERY Hot and Humid. We were going again in October that year with the 2 DDs. I remember thinking that it would be cooler then... WRONG! Since September is in the middle there, I don't imagine it will be much better. I will add the caveat that when were there (in August and October of that year) many locals (and others) were commenting that this particular year was "Unseasonably hot."

On the lighter side, September is generally a good month for low crowds/lines. Partially because of the weather and partially because of schools. Either way I wish you an awesome vacation be it in September or November.

It will be very low crowds...however it will be SUPER HOT and humid, with afternoon showers.

What she just said! Humidity doesn't break until mid/late October. Also note that with low crowds comes shorter park hours. We've been in September 3 times and loved it despite the heat, the benefits are low crowds, low crowds, low crowds, you don't need to worry about bringing a jacket or packing long pants. There's also the Halloween decorations and Halloween party at MK.

You will still have the summer weather during the day but it can get cool at night. I love going at the time that you are going! I think it is the best. The crowds are low and you get all of the fall activities! Enjoy your trip!

I don't recall it ever getting cool at night when we've been there in September, I'm sure it can once in a while, but average low temperature in Orlando in September is about 72F.

You are correct, it does not get cool in September. We lived there as well as took over 10 trips in September and it's always scorching during the day, and hot at night.

Yes, it will be hot and humid. Their is also the terrible thunderstorms in the middle of the afternoon. I live in FL an it does not get cooler in the evening.

We go every year that same week. It is warm for sure, but not unbearable. Like everything, it depends on you, your preferences, experiences etc. we live in the south, so, it's no biggie. Plan on some afternoon breaks and you will be fine. Pool time helps too! You will have a great trip, I'm sure.

You are from CT? well it will probably feel like mid August to you. Sept is not "fall" weather here. It's still summer. Hot, humid period. Weather doesn't break here until around the end of Oct, beginning of Nov.
anything can happen but in the 20 years I've lived here, Sept is still just as hot as July.

i'm from CT and we went the second week of September back in 2011. It was completely fine. No afternoon rain showers that i remember! low crowds were fantastic too. it was obviously warm and humid at times, but completely bearable! i think july up here in CT is worse than September down there.

My family will be there the same week. We usually go around Thanksgiving, but it was often too cold to go swimming. I decided to try September so that the family can enjoy the pools at my resort. From the responses I think I'm gonna need the pool time! We will both have a great trip, I'm sure!

Oh no....Ill be there sept 26th-oct 8th and I was wondering the same. In California we dont have the humidity but Sept is worst then June-August. I can only imagine how hot Florida is! Ive been one In August and October. Also March and January..

Scottishbrit, I'll be there at the same time. Keeping my fingers crossed that even if it is hot, the crowds will be so low that the time between the airconditioned spaces won't be too long. Trips gonna be great!:cheer2:

It didn't seem quite as hot in the shade versus direct sun.

Enjoy!

You just hope for the "Breeze" even in the shade. It always makes it better. The worst is when you have HOT and HUMID air that isn't moving.

best tips for staying cool? i lean more towards lizard- so i love the heat and humidity actually doesn't bother me all that much as long as i dress for it. my partner, on the other hand, is part furnace, and doesn't do well when nature adds to the heat. we live in chicago so heat and humidity is already the name of the game in summer, but normally he isn't outside all day.
