Sigh....we had to push our Sept 2014 trip back to Nov 2014. Really, really bummed since fall in Disney sounded so appealing - MNSSHP, lower crowds, value season, Food and Wine Fest, etc. We've planned our Sept trip for nearly 2 years and spent SO MUCH time researching and had an itinerary fine-tuned, and now I kind of feel like I'm back at Square One. Thankfully I wasn't able to book ADR's yet, or else I'd really be in trouble!

Now I'm seeking advice on what to expect in November weather-wise, crowd-wise, price-wise....just about everything. We will check in Nov 1 and checking out Nov 10. I'm the most concerned about making sure we stay within our dining budget (we won't be on the dining plan) and really hope those buffet prices won't skyrocket on the dates we'll be there. Also, since we'll miss MNSSHP, does MVMCP typically start at any point of our Nov 1-10 stay? Any and all info is greatly appreciated!

You likely now in sweet spot of being able to do lots of cool stuff. First, last night of Halloween party usually Nov 1 not Oct 31 so can catch final night on first night of stay- but prob want to prebook. Second, Xmas party usually starts around Nov 8, but first few nights often sellot so also want to prebook. Third, early Nov usually still swim weather.

Actually, November might be even nicer than September! You'll be past hurricaine season, and its heat and humidity, into cooler, pleasant days still warm enough to swim. Early in the month, crowds will still be low, and -- as the poster above said -- you may be able to catch both Halloween AND Christmas parties and decorations. Have fun!!

We go every year the first week of Nov. the weather can be iffy. We can be in shorts or in need of a sweatshirt. Some days DD swam other times it was too chilly. There usually are not discounts, if you are counting on one, until Nov 8 due to the first week is usually designated as Jersey week. Not trying to scare you but every public school in NJ will have off Nov 6/7 so many take kids out the whole week to vacation. Lots at Disney. And the weekend of Nov 8/9 is the last weekend of the Wine Fest and the Disney half marathon. Good news... There has never been a price increase for restaurants and you will get Christmas decorations. Happy planning!

I read about Jersey Week, but I wasn't sure how bad it would affect the crowd levels. I really, REALLY wish we could go that second week of Nov, so we could see the Osborn Lights, but I'm married to an avid hunter and deer season trumps all other plans, lol. Thank you all for your input - I'm starting to feel better about Disney in Nov!

The lights will be up because the runners run through DHS and down the area with the lights. We always see them the Thur before the race so I am guessing Nov 6 they will be up.

We're going 10/31-11/8 and did Jersey week in 2010. We loved that time of the year so so much that we're doing it again. We will hit the last Halloween party, food and wine, and see the Christmas lights up at MK the end of the week. I did not think it was crowded and I usually follow touring plans for the recommended park. I found it more crowded MLK week in January.
