How crowded is the 3rd week in July? How does it compare to the holidays...Easter, Xmas, etc. How hot is it? thanks.

We were there last July during that time period. It is very hot and humid and very crowded. I don't think it is as bad as during the peak holiday (Christmas, Easter) times, but it is pretty crowded. We hit the parks early, took long afternoon breaks and then finished up the parks at night. We were able to see most of the things we wanted too, but make sure you get your fast passes early. Take plenty of breaks, and don't stress out about seeing everything, because it probably won't happen.

We will be there in July again this year around that time, July 16th-25th. The parks will be busy but usually not so bad as you can't see everything if you manage your time.

Like puffkin said, arrive early and take a break at mid day when it's the hottest part of the day. Even if you don't leave the parks, maybe plan a nice sit down lunch someplace where your inside for an hour.

We were there over the 4th last Summer and still managed to see most everything in four days utilizing fast pass and just taking it easy. We ended up leaving every day and went back to the condo for an hour or two to rest and clean up. The only day we stayed all day was the 4th of July.

If you arrive early always make sure to go the the part of the park you want to see the most in first. Even during the holiday last season we arrived at MK early and had done all of Fantasyland within an hour or so since there were no lines yet. Saves rides like Pirates and Space Mountain for hot times since the wait is inside and air conditioned.

Pros: Longer hours, more attractions open.

Cons: Hot, humid, crowded.

I agree with the strategy of getting there EARLY, leaving in the middle of the day, coming back or going to a different park in the evening.

If you can do Early Entry, that is a good strategy. We've done Early Entry, then left after we finished the attractions that were open early and gone to another park.

We've found that we can stay up late for parades/fireworks after our afternoon nap/swim time.

Utilize Fastpass whenever you can. We try to get a Fastpass, then eat, or do a parade, while we are waiting for the time to come up.

Agree with everyone else on strategies. Its hot, its crowded. Do as much as you can early, hang at the pool in the afternoon or do some outlet mall shopping, and then return later. Drink LOTS of water, bring in your own bottles or you'll go broke. Take lots of breaks, dont push yourself and your family... Hvae a game plan in mind when doing the park, too, so you dont end up trekking across the park all day long.

And most of all, have a MAGICAL TIME!!!!!!!!!

WDW in July...
Done it before doing it again. It really isn't any different in Florida then at home in Vermont that time of year. Hot and Humid. We try to do the indoor large capacity shows in the heat of the day, we hate to trek out of the parks only to Trek back a couple of hours later. Drink plenty of water. Bring crystal light to mix with it if you or kids are not big on water. And most importantly have fun. The crowds are large, but we've never found a time when our kids are out of school that is not crowded.

We are going in the first week in july. From what I heard, July Isn't that bad. Most say it is a good time to go.... I hope it is. HAVE FUN!
