We went to celebrate my DS's 3rd birthday on Jan 10, 2004. It was COLD. Some nights in the 30's. We did have at least 1 day in the 70's and went swimming but a few days in the 50's. It was busier than I expected due to the marathon.
January is wonderful. The weather could be COLD but it will most likely be mildly warm to mildly cool in the day time and kinda cool at night. Regardless, it will be warmer than the climate that most of us live in. When are you going? Maybe I'll see you there.
We usually go in late January/early February. As others have said, the weather can be variable, just bring layers and you'll be fine. Crowds are usually better than most other times of the year. We live in Pennsylvania, so it's always a treat to escape winter for a little while!
