DH and I just joined the DVC this past weekend and we of course are already starting to plan our next Disney vacation. We both have never been to Disney at Christmastime and would like to make that our next trip. Does anyone have recommendations for a better week in December? Will everything be decorated the first week in December? I'm planning to reserve a 2 bedroom at our home (SSR) as soon as my 11 month mark hits in January. Do you think I will have a problem? Can I reserve online or do I have to call and speak with someone? I just want to be prepared for anything and everything doing my first reservation. Thanks!

We always go down the first full week of December, the parks are decorated and not real crowded yet!!:cool1:

The earlier in December you go, the less crowded it is. I'd say any time before December 21 or so and you will beat most of the crowds.

Yes, the parks and resorts are decorated fully from Thanksgiving until early January.

I would hope not, but I would contact MS first thing in the morning to improve your chances.

I would definitely call MS for a busy time of the year like this. The on-line reservation is basically an e-mail. You can't really reserve on-line, just send your requested dates and they e-mail you back.

Early December has become our preferred time to attend WDW. We will be going this January 20-29 (Our second favorite time) but hope to get back to December in 2008.

Have a great time, don't miss the Osborne lights. Maybe we will see you there.
