Hi !!
We will be going to WDW this year 11/29/03 to 12/6/03
Will be staying @ BWV.
Although we have been to Dis several times, never been to WDW during the holidays and can't hardly wait.
I have checked out Deb's website and many other, but I still have a few Q's:

1. What is the Yuletide Fantasy tour. $$ and age limit, if anyone knows.

2. Anyone done the CP @ Epcot? I have heard members say to plan the tree lighting/CP/dining/Parade so that one flows into the other. Any ideals? Any day better than others, like a weekday and times?

3. MVMCP- Sounds great - want to do this one too- Is it possible to see all the special shows and everything in one night. Have heard other members say they go twice in one trip.

Of course, I know its a little early, but I'm a planner (the fanatic of the family) and Disney's website, December schedule hasen't came out yet. I think I know what meals I want to PS covered, but would love any suggestions.

Trip to include :
Myself (Suffers from Disneyitis, Like that's a bad thing)
DH (enabler, loves Disney, never went as a kid, poor thing)
DD9 (trip#3)
DS4 (trip#2)

I would LOVE any input you guys have to make our trip special.
Your all so great on this board and I look forward to your wisdom.

You'll love it at that time, the best, IMO.

#1 http://wdwig.com/tours.htm#yul

#2 At the moment, there is no more parade at Epcot, Tapestry has ended. Tree lighting is at dusk, around 5:30 or so I think. I have usually done inner first, followed by CP, followed by Illuminations.

#3 I have always done MVMCP, but usually not the shows. I don't think you could take it all in on one night, shows and all attractions. But a wonderful evening it is.

PS's should be made for any sitdowns you guys want to do.

And welcome to the DIS, Kim.

We were at WDW at almost the same time last year. It was our first time during the Christmas season and really enjoyed it.

We were both pleased with the CP at Epcot. In today’s world it seems that every one is so afraid they might offend someone, the words “Merry Christmas” are constantly being replaced with “Seasons Greetings”. We were happy to find out that Disney has made an effort to not gloss over the religious importance of the holiday but embrace it. The CP is a mixture of a celebrity narrator telling the story of the birth of Christ. During pauses in the story a large choir backed by an orchestra sings Christmas carols. The whole thing was simple but extremely well done and moving.

We also loved MVMCP. However it does sound that people’s experiences can be very hit or miss. We went on Tuesday December 3. The weather was great (50’s), the crowds were manageable, our free picture turned out great, and the fireworks were awesome. We were able to ride almost any ride with hardly any waits and took in a number of the shows. We had no problems getting the cookies and coco. The highlight of the night was standing on Main Street watching the parade in a Disney made blizzard.

The weather can be unpredictable at WDW and a couple of nights later the whole MVMCP was almost completely washed out by torrential rains. We lucked out that we had gone when we did otherwise we would have felt miserable about the whole event.

It sounds like the closer you go towards Christmas the more crowded it gets. It also sounds like that it is more crowded on the weekends as well.

Is when we arrive this year.We have gone since 1992 at first part of December and it is now our favorite time of year to vist. Weather is good and low crowds with all the the resorts and parks decked out for holidays you will love your visit at this time of year.We do MVMCP twice one night we do all attractions and on the other the parade and shows.CP is not to be missed it is so inspiring. We do a CP dinner package andf enjoy the prefered seating you get when doing the package deal. Also go to HDDR,we love the Christmas version of this dinner show.:earsboy: :sunny: :earsgirl:

I'll add my 2 cents worth to this one, having done the December thing on a fairly regular basis with all different sorts of family members at one time or another.

My fiancee and I did the Yuletide Fantasy Tour last year. The descriptions on Deb's site were right on the money. We had a good time, but on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 5. Very little "backstage" stuff, but nice to get you in the Christmas spirit. If I were you, I'd schedule this at the beginning of your trip to give you an overview of the Christmas festivities at the world. The best part was seeing the Christmas warehouse. Whoa!! Now that was a lot of Christmas balls!!! :)

As for MVMCP, you CAN do all the Christmas shows, fireworks, parade in one evening if you plan to not go on any rides. That is how we do it. We live close enough, that we can ride the rides any time. We use that evening to do the Christmas stuff and we can fit it all in. Get a schedule ahead of time and plan out your evening. I would also suggest starting your evening with dinner at LTT if they offer that again this year. It gets you into the park early, and is a nice start to the evening. I also strongly suggest going on a Sunday. We have never had a problem with crowds on Sunday evenings.

And don't forget the Osbourne lights! Also, stop by the American Pavilion and hear American Vybe or Voices of Liberty sing Christmas songs. And don't forget to catch a show of Cast in Bronze at Epcot.
