Disney in April

Hi everyone. Going to Disney with the family (DH, DD 4, DS 2) for the first time as an adult. Its been about 15 years since I was last there.

We will be arriving and staying off-site on April 23. Going to church Sunday morning then hitting the parks and staying at Movies till April 28. We have a 5 day ticket, no hopper. My plan was to do Epcot on Sunday bc I thought the kids would enjoy that the least at their ages and after seeing MK, I'm afraid Epcot might be boring. But I'm undecided whether to do MK or AK on Monday. Both the days are in Red for crowds. Any opinions on which day would be better to do? With all the refurb going at Hollywood Studios I'm actually thinking to just do a half day there. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I did the same, started with Epcot. My kids were 5 and 2 and surprisingly they loved most of it. I don't really have any insight as to which park to go to on your Monday.

Race weekend is the weekend right before and most of the spring break crowds should be gone. It should be pretty empty. Even a red park shouldnt be too bad.

I see that Animal Kingdom has morning EMH (extra magic hour) on Monday, April 25 (8am to 9am).

Will you want to get up early to take advantage of that? If so, you will have an hour when the park will be very uncrowded, and you can get quite a bit done.

But if you won't be arriving until 9am or so, then I think Magic Kingdom's opening time of 9am would work out better for you.

Need help deciding on order of parks for Monday April 18 & 19, MK vs HS. Crowd calendar websites have opposing recommendations (TP rates MK a 5 for both days, and DHS a 6 and 4). Have secured ADRs at BOG for both days (8:10 & 8:20) just need to make a choice bc have to book FP next week
