Hi Guys i am off to Orlando July 1st-15th booked through Virgin Holidays staying at the Hotel Nikki Bird! for 14 nights

I really fancy spending a couple of nights at one of the Disney hotels possibly Disneys Animal Kingdom lodge with a room with a view of the animals i want to do something special for a change as i have not stayed in a Disney hotel on any of my trips to Flordia! Can't afford the whole 2 weeks but a couple of nights in the middle of the holiday will be nice!

Have you guys done that before at all? just went and spent a couple of nights at a Disney hotel even though you already have a room elsewhere? I assume its ok to do that! thanks for advice in advance!

We've done this for the last three trips. We base ourselves for our week in Orlando at the Sheraton Safari (booked as part of package with Virgin), but only there two nights (first two nights). We then disappear off to HRH and Disney. The first time we went to HRH for one night, then AKL for another two nights and didn't tell the Safari. We popped back during the evening of the second night to check everything was ok in the room, it was.

Last October we checked out after two nights, telling the front desk, who didn't mind at all - once we'd assured them there wasn't a problem. After all, they'd had our money (£28 per night for the room with Virgin) and could now get someone elses money:rolleyes: We then went off to HRH for two nights, then Poly for three:sunny:

I would suggest you use the on-site hotel at the end of your Orlando stay, that way you won't feel disappointed when you have to go back to your other accommodation. Fortunately when we left the Poly we were heading down to the beach for another 10 nights, so it was great.

Next trip won't be done as a package with Virgin, but DIY (flydrive with Virgin though, as a FVC member the 10% off does make a difference).

I've used Dreams Unlimited each time for the Disney resorts, couldn't rate them highly enough. For Universal I've booked this myself.

Thanks for the info Mrs Dazzle i'm gonna look into that today :)

I agree would be much better to do at the end of the holiday as it won't be quite the same! going back to a standard hotel room!
