*waves* I just found this board and decided to join because FI and I decided last week that we wanted to honeymoon at Disney! Neither of us are really beach-people, so most of the typical honeymoon destinations were out for us. So we decided to head back to where we got engaged - Orlando! We were down there this past June for 3 days, and we only visited one of the Disney parks when we were there (Hollywood Park...we went during Star Wars weekend), so this will be a chance for us to explore the other 3, as well as visit a few other places around Orlando we were unable to last time. Prior to this trip, I hadn't been to disney since I was 5, so I'm SO EXCITED to go back!!!

Sorry if that was long, but the other wedding planning hasn't budged much lately, so I'm throwing myself into this!

Cool - welcome to the boards! I know my DF hadn't been to Disney since he was 12 (he's 34 now) and just loved it. He's already psyched to go back! It's funny how it just grows on you like that! :goodvibes

Congratulations and :welcome: to the DIS!!!

DH and I had never been to WDW before our wedding...but I had always wanted to go.

DH was more of a Warner Brothers fan when we met...but I have converted him!:rotfl:

Have you made any plans for special things to do while you are on your honeymoon? Special tours, meals, etc?

Be sure to let EVERYONE know you are on your honeymoon (when making all room and dining reservations) and be sure to remind them when you check in.

Also, you can get "Just Married" pins (they're FREE!) at Guest Services at all of the parks...they're cute and may get you some extra "pixie dust".

OH! Will you be wearing the wedding ears??

We haven't scheduled anything specific, because we're still about a year out, and I'm sure a few things will change by then. We're going to be there during next years food and wine festival at epcot though, so we'll definitely spend some time there. I've been reading some of the Disneymoon TR's from people on here, and it's definitely encouraged me to get the dining plan as well as scheduling some reservations, and not telling FI about the fun surprises they have for you, heh.

Sometime in the next month or two I'm going to call the Disney Honeymoon advisor line that they provide on their wedding/honeymoon site, and get things booked through them, so I'd imagine they'd have things marked for this being our HM. But it definitely seems like it's a good idea to mention it at the front desk also, and see if we can get some kind of upgrade while we're there.

We will definitely be purchasing the ears, but I don't know if we'll wear them the whole time, or just for some pictures/part of the day.
