Hi,

I am planning my honeymoon for DW for late June & July. Ive been looking @ staying @ the Wyndham Palace in DTD for $159 in a 1bd suite, but I also recently read good things about the Swan & Dolphin. I looked online & I can get a Swan room thru AAA for $162.50, with an unguaranteed view.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do, or somewhere else to consider???

Thank You!

Jennifer

Swan and Dolphin are on WDW property - you get to walk to EPcot and Studios - so go for it .

the regular Disney resort boards on this site is sponsored by the D/S - so they can give you much better tips and rooms to avoid on that board.

You've found the right place to find all kinds of information and opinions on Disney World. As was already mentioned, be sure to check out the resorts board and you will find many people singing the praises or faults of every single place to stay either on or off property.

I'm not sure what some of the factors are for what you are looking for? There are other places on Disney property that are a bit cheaper than the rate you are quoting: Caribbean Beach, Coronodo Springs, Port Orleans. They aren't necessarily better but there are definite advantages to staying right on property.

Will you be spending the majority of your time at Disney or will you tour all of Orlando?

The Swan/Dolphin are within a reasonable walking distance of EPCOT and MGM studios as well as having a Boardwalk of entertainment right at your doorstep.

The Wyndham is where all of the downtown Disney action is happening with Pleasure Island right in its backyard.

Read up on these boards as much as you can and you will be able to make an informed decision about what is best for you and your new husband.

Congratulations!

If one of you is a teacher, nurse or government (even local or state) employee, you can get a good deal at the swan/dolphin. I think around $130? It's a great location and all the rooms have heavenly beds, which are supposed to be wonderful! I would choose the Swan over the Wyndham any day. Being able to walk to Epcot, MGM and the Boardwalk, especially in Summer when things are open late will be magical. :)

It's true that there are a lot of other options in that price range. It's nice to stay on Disney property, and for that amount, you should be able to.
