We didn't book anything extra, granted we were in concierge so I don't know if they have extra leeway in doing stuff for guests etc.
Ah, concierge - that explains it! For a moment I felt like I was getting cheated - twice
Love,
Your lowly fellow cruiser who won't even splurge on a verandah room...

They also put rose petals all over the rest of the room, in the jacuzzi tub, sinks etc haha
They asked us which night on the cruise we wanted to celebrate it officially on during the first day on the ship, and that evening at dinner we got a chocolate cake

Meghatron said:Yeah, that looks and sounds like the Romance at Sea package, which I tried to book for our honeymoon in 2011 and they said they don't do it anymore.
Thank you for the clarification! Any suggestions of resorts to stay around or in the WDW area?
That's Saaaaaweeet!! Thanks so much for sharing! Seeing those pictures makes me super stoked to go now! do they do the towels like that every night? What's the difference between a Concierge package and a regular package? (I'm new to cruising and want this to be special and unforgettable)

If you were looking for a 7 night cruise to the Bahamas, you could do a back to back cruise on the Dream (4 nights and then a 3 nights). They are both the same itinerary except the 3 day doesn’t have the day at sea. There is also the 7 day Eastern/Western Caribbean option out of PC. Either cruise you choose, you’re guaranteed to have a great time! Make sure you tell DCL you’re on your honeymoon. I’m sure you’ll get a few “surprises” along the way- we did!
Also, like the PP’s said, if you could pair your DCL with time in the parks I definitely would! You can rent DVC points from an owner which will save you a lot of money, too.
Have a great trip!
mrkyyyle said:Its not a concierge package per se, we were in a 1bedroom suite which is on the concierge level. The concierge staff was aware we were on our honeymoon since it was noted on our reservation so they were the ones that arranged the stuff in the pictures (and as Meghatron noted, we didn't "pay" for the stuff directly, but we paid indirectly in the higher cost for the concierge room if that makes sense )
We got the swans / rose petals on the night we "officially" celebrated our honeymoon in the MDR and the cuttlefish/champagne/ rose petals a few nights later. We got the normal towel animals the other nights of the cruise.
I don't know if they have that romance at sea package anymore to be honest
Mackie Mouse said:Here are all the current add-ons offered - there is a "romance" package, but it doesn't look like exactly the same one they used to offer with the bathrobes and the rose petal turndown service. Call DCL directly to see what they can do, though.
