So for xmas, DH gets me a 3 night trip to the world at the WL leaving christmas day 2008! I was thrilled, until I thought about it some more. I have no desire to go to Disney for 3 day at christmas - too busy and too much money! So we have decided to wait until May 2009 when we can do the Land Sea adventure. But we have yet to book it, as christmas bills are still looming. For some reason, I need to have a trip to look forward to, and until its booked, its just not real for me. Please tell me I'm not the only one that needs this diversion (trip planning, knowing that there is something on the horizon) throughout daily life to keep me going. I'm beginning to think its a disease.

I read an article about happiness one time. The article stated that one key to happiness was always having 3 things to look forward to ... I think it it very true that having something to look forward to brightens everyone's day. I try to keep at least one short term thing to look forward to (DH has the day off work tomorrow, so I can go to Sam's by myself ...:) ) and a couple of long term things (Disney, for one!).

Thinking about sunny FL really helps me get through some of these gray, snowy days!

I'm kind of the same way. We were planning for May 2008, but we bought a new (to us) van in october, and the choice had to be made......the trip has been postponed officially until May 2009, but I'm trying really hard for Nov 2008. It just depends on if we can save the $$ or not.

No - you're not alone. Welcome to the club!

I get back from one trip - and am looking at dates for the next one! I, too, used to think I had a "problem", but after joining the Dis, I've realized that there are many others just like me!

I'm the same way, I need a trip in the works to look forward to. Unfortunately, right now, for the first time in several years, I don't have a trip planned....we went to DL right before Thanksgiving and that's it, there's nothing else planned and probably won't be for a while, at least 2009. I'm trying to make it through, the DIS is my support group, LOL!
