Disney Hilton Head stay???

We are currently not DVC members, but are considering a stay at Disney Hilton Head since it is so close to us. However, I have no idea IF that is possible nor how I go about trying to book something. Also, what is it like there? Are the characters there? Any help would be great!!

Yes, you can book a stay there. I've met lots of non-members there. Once I was in Big Murgie's Den while the DVC video was playing and someone came in and saw it, turned to his wife and said, "Honey, let's join that club thing." Back of Birnbaum Guide says call 407-939-7540 for reservations. No characters, but lots of hidden Mickeys, and if you ask for a wake-up call, Mickey wakes you up there, just like WDW. Great place for vacation.
