disney halloween

just a question does disney do anything special for halloween we were there end of feb first week of mar. this year and are planing on going back last week of oct and are planning our trip and were wondering if dis. does anything special for kids on halloween here in ohio kings island has nickortreet

The first time we did Halloween in 2004 for MNSSHP. The party was on a date not on Halloween. We were there on Oct 31 and on the actual date we went to the FW camp ground. The campground has a sing along with chip and dale and smores campfire followed by an outdoor movie every night. On Halloween they also had a pumpkin carving contest and the movie was Sleepy Hollow and Huanted Mansion. They also have hayrides there but on Halloween you can ride a haunted hayride. The kids did not trick or treat on Halloween due to the fact we did trick or teating at the MNSSHP.

The second time we did Halloween 2007, we were there for a disney cruise that left on Nov 1. We stayed csr and they did a wonderful job with the kids. At the pool that afternoon they had halloween pinata's (fit in with the mexican theme). At night around 5pm they had tables set up with trick or treating from table to table. They gave out bags to treat with, the candy was good candy. They also had Mr. snee and cpt hook there for pictures and great pumpkins from pumpkin carvings. We went from there to dtd to trick or treat and they had magic acts and trick or treating at the stores but candy was not good and it was very crowded. The best was the boardwalk. the boardwalk had farmer mickey and pumpkin donald possing for pictures, there ware tables along the boardwalk for trick or treating. There as a dj and stilt walkers. The boardwalk had a large blow up pumpkin and bat lights.

Halloween was great both times at WDW.

I would love to hear about it too! We will be there Oct 22-Nov2, and we are going to MNSSHP, but I think it will be too busy on the 31, so trying to plan for something else that night...

LOL...we are going on those exact dates Can't wait to see all the halloween stuff!
