I did a google map of Disney today. Interesting to see Disney World like that. I thought it was interesting in map view how close EPCOT, MGM, BCV, BWV, Yacht, Boardwalk Inn, Swan, Dolphin, OKW,DTD and SSR. The image of SSR still had the Disney Institue there. You can see all of the original chek-in, fitness, spa, etc buildings that they refurbished for SSR. I can also see why the SSR main pool is the size it is. Its all the room they had to use. Looked like there was a exterior theater or something that they tore down.

It interesting to see the Wilderness Lodge area. I wonder why Disney didn't build a second building. There seems to be plenty of room.

I know there is hope from alot of DVC members of a Magic Kingdom DVC Resort. From the google map, I just don't see room for one. The only exception would be for them to tear something down. But even then, still not a lot of room, maybe a resort the size of VWL.....maybe.

Anyway, kinda cool looking down at all the resorts. Seeing Disney from a new perspective for me!

most of the land surrounding VWL is swampy and doing a rain storm will be very, very wet.....

Disney is smarter than other development and is not about to do away with its flood plane.....

that wooden bridge is not there for landscaping - it is there because it is needed.

try putting in your address and watch

Try http://local.live.com and do a search for Wilderness Lodge. This a similar program to Google Earth that is put out by Microsoft. It has an even more detailed view of WDW called "Birds Eye". It really gets you close.

This one is great When you are in Areil mode of SSR it shows the Seats But when you go Birdseye View it shows the pool.

Also Look at River C. in Birdseye and you can really see how bad it is.

Another nice thing about the LOCAL.LIVE is you can Flag 2 points and it will print driving directions with a map as well
