Oh I will be around the DIS. The DIS has become my internet family! I'd be lost without all of you.LL, I know how disappointed you must be feeling right now, but just remember how good it will feel to have all that debt gone. Disney will be there waiting when you are ready, but you better stick around the DIS!
Sorry LL about your trip. Being an adult is not an easy thing to do, nor is giving up a trip to Disney. However I can truly say your best trips are ahead of you and Marc, ones with your children. Do stay around... I will miss your reports and updates.
I'm sorry to hear about the trip. Thing looked to be going so well too. Hopefully someday you will make it over to Port Orleans. Hope to still see you over at my report.

I can understand how hard this is and I hope you will find a few other fun things to do which are cheaper than Disney to cheer you up! And I really hope that you and Jen manage to meet up again sometime in the future, you really seem to have such a wonderful friendship!

But I'll echo the others and say it sounds like the right thing to do and it will all be worth it in the end. And I'll also agree that you're still "pre-trip" just not the trip you thought you'd be taking... so no reason you have to shut this down. I wonder if there's a record for the longest running pre-trip ever?
that Disney isn't going anywhere...and it will still be there when you're ready to return... hosted by toi....

As everyone else already told you: You are absolutely right about being grown up and not just putting the trip on the CC. I was wondering wether your new attitutude to financial matters is kind of connected to your new life with regard to nurtition? It kind of is the same, isn't it?
I really hope that we will still see you around, I will still be interested in hearing about your progress in weight loss. I hope you will soon have gotten rid of the whole first 100 lbs count down. I just realized the true importance of that goal and wish for you that you will soon reach it. It will be wonderful to return to Disney with a little one!
The tentative plan is for Marc & I to go back in December 2011. Hopefully with baby. We'll see. We've talked about maybe trying to fit in a solo October 2010 trip for me or even maybe a November 2010 trip the two of us. It all depends on what happens for us between now and then!Me, too. It can just be a very long pre-trip report, if that's allowed. You will be back eventually!
Yep - there are some Disney movies coming out on the big screen, you can do some Disney-themed meals, maybe Disney on Ice when it comes near you, or hey, you can always join us in Atlanta in May for Mary Poppins!
Maybe you and Jen can hook up outside of WDW, too.
Going to Disney World with your own little one is going to give you more warm fuzzies than you can even imagine!!!
Good luck with getting your bills down. I know the pain. I've cancelled any hope of going on spring break because every time I go to the mailbox, I have another medical bill waiting for me.

There has gotta be a record for the longest running trip report. Maybe I should start a Pre-Pre-Trip Report! Oh I know, when I do get back to Disney, it's going to be wonderful! I keep telling myself I went three years between my July 2005 and September 2008 trip so I can do it again.So sorry LL!!

I'm in with the very long-PTR camp...kind of like a talk show...
My own talk show, I like the idea of that. I just might go next fall pregnant. It all depends on what happens and where we are at that point. I can't see myself going to Disney pregnant without Marc though. So we'll have to see if I do a solo trip with the gals or if I end up doing a trip with Marc. The idea of "babymoon" sounds good to me!

So sorry for having to cancel the trip LL. There should be rules that say no more than one canceled Disney trip per year. I know how you feel though. I know I'm going to have to cancel my spring trip. I just can't bear to delete the ticker.

On a side note...if airfare from Manchester doesn't go down soon...I may be having to cancel my trip too! The airfare skyrocketed and it's now WAAAAYYY more than my credit. The whole idea of my trip was that it was going to be dirt cheap. If it's not dirt cheap- I may have to make the same choice you did.
