disney give a day voucher ?

i've been looking into getting an annual pass since we have the vouchers. Dh just told me my MIL gets AP discounted through her work. If we get Ap through her I'd have to pay out of pocket for the Ap's.
my ? is...........

Can those vouchers be turned in for a giftcard?

As far as I know the only other option is a special FP.

Is the discount more then the value of your vouchers? If not I would use the vouchers.

Thank you. I just checked and its only $43 cheaper so the voucher is the way to go toward Ap. Next year we can do MIL's discount instead of renewing, if the offer is offered.

Dh and I are going back on forth on it-lol! I say let's do it. It's entertainment paid for the year.

Dh says it's to pricey and we probably wont go as much- that was his response with the So.calif 215 day pass.

So i finally agreed and said to much money even if we use the vochers and rewards. I explained to him that my thought was to enjoy disney when we had no plans or not a lot of money, to spend the day, watch shows, ride rides just hangout. but since he has no interest then forget it dont want a grumpy with us-lol!

Then he said the deluxe would be a better choice because of the days that are opened Sat /sundays.

Then out of nowhere my niece calls me up and ask if dd had a pass so she can take dd because my niece takes my nephew alomst every other day. must be nice living 2 exits away from disneyland-lol! I told dh its a sign that we should get the AP's hahaha!

So I'm sure we will get passes but now I dont know when we should buy them. It has to be before Dec 17th. Dh said we should wait until after dd's
b-day incase she gets Disney giftcards (we have two family members that give her giftcards to a place of her choice) so that might be $25x2=$50 to use toward her premium pass.

I guess once i find out if i can use the vouchers toward the pass and then set up the monthly payment plan, if not then I dont know.

Very funny that first your DH says no, too expensive, then says we should get the deluxe!

I know you can definitely use the GAD vouchers towards a pass (that is what we did with ours), but not sure about how that would work with the payment plan, if it is something that you can use the voucher for a "down payment" and then just pay off the rest in installments, or??? Maybe next time your niece goes she can ask at the ticket booth....

That is a great idea about the birthday gift cards - we have done that before with DL APs and Legoland APs for our kids - asked the relatives to give gift cards towards it.

I called disney and was told i could use the voucher toward the online payments but i need to do it at the park and set it up. She said it will be deducted from my banking acct. I ask if it can be done on the creditcard and she said yes. I forgot to ask if theres a certain date it taken out each month. She threw me off because she said once i make the down payment 48 hrs later the fist monthly payment will be taken out.

to those that have the online payment plan is it set up with just one acc automatically deducted or can you go online and pay with a creditcard or online checking? if its stuck to one acct then i ont use my bank acct.

I ask if the voucher was valued at $76 and was told yes. I know i read some got $80 so does disney charge tax on their tickets or is it already included in the $76?

You might want to post the questions about the payment plan on another thread as I'm not sure people who know the answer will look at this one since the title is GAD. (Sorry, I don't know the answer.)

But happy for you that you are able to do this. As far as the value of the GAD - not sure why someone got $80 - when we went in May the price of a one day one park ticket was $72 - that is what we got for it - so I can see the $76 as the price has gone up since May. I don't believe there is tax on the ticket. Maybe the other person traded it in at WDW? I know the one day one park ticket there is a little bit more (currently $82 I think).

When you set up the payment plan option, you give them a credit or debit card account for them to charge/debit each month automatically. You can change the card that is charged/debited anytime through the AP Payment Service number.
