Disney Giftcards?

Are disney gift cards (the kind you can buy online) good everywhere? We are planning on bringing as little cash as possible to park and would like to use a giftcard almost like a credit card. Can you use them in restaurants and the various shops?

We took a bunch of gift cards with us last trip and I don't remember any place that we couldn't use them. We paid for our hotel and park passes, used them for snacks, souveniers, etc. They are very convenient!

I have heard some problems at the snack carts. Anyone here have any problems with this?

And I take it, they are good for table service as well?

I have been thinking of using this as well.

I used mine several places no problem, but you can also have them(disney) put a credit card on your room keys then pay at the end of your stay no cash in the parks then.
