We are going on our next trip in June of 2017. Can you use Disney gift cards at places like snack wagons, POP Century food court, quick service restaurants, and maybe even table services places? I am thinking about buying a few a month and use them when we go.

Yes. There are a few carts that are cash only though.

You can also charge back to your room and pay the balance with your GCs there.

Thanks for the reply. I thought that was true but always good to get a second opinion....

If you use it at a table service meal, make sure you write down the number or take a pic with your phone or something before you give it to the server. At 'Ohana one time, I was given back a different gift card than the one I'd paid with. It had the same picture on the front and I didn't realize until later that it was a different card. It's not like a credit card where you'd obviously notice if it wasn't your card in the folder. Of course, the card I was given had a $0 balance. Fortunately, the one I'd paid with only had like $4 remaining on it, so I wasn't out a significant amount of money.

I'm assuming you're staying on property because you mentioned Pop's food court but we just charge everything to our Magic Bands and pay at the front desk every night/following morning (like PP said). The vendors that sell balloons and the CMs who walk around selling light up toys at night take cash only but mostly everywhere else, you can use them.

It's the only way we go. Charge all to the room and pay that off with a gift card.
This is exactly what we do. Buy Disney gift cards before our trip
and get the Kroger fuel points. On our trip we charge everything back to our room and check the charges every day or so to
make sure it is correct.... then pay a gift card. It is best to handle any payment conflicts while at Disney. Very hard to contest a credit card charge after your trip.

We went in July and stayed at OKW. We had Magic Bands, but paid for everything with a single GC I had combined several smaller cards into on Disney's GC site. The CMs always pointed out my remaining balance at the bottom of the receipt. We were near checkin 2+ times a day, but it was nice to not have to go in to pay off the balance. I did keep a spare, empty GC in the room in case I lost mine... I could've easily just moved my remaining balance over. Since I had to carry my ID, DVC card, and AP anyway... so one extra GC was no big deal.

I am also careful when I use Disney gift cards; I just make a mark on the back of the card with a permanent marker and when given it back I look to make sure it is mine. That and I do keep all the receipts and check my balances each day while in Disney on their website. Most of the time though I just charge it to the room and then pay it back at the resort, this way the card is never out of my sight.

This is all excellent to read, Glad I got a bunch of Dis GC's for my upcoming bday to take with me on our trip next week :)
Good tip to write down number or mark back, I made a note to do that!

We used them at carts (ones that took the DDP), park and resort table & quick service restaurants plus Disney Springs .
