Disney Gift Cards

We are going to DW in May on the deluxe dining plan with waterparks and arcade added. My question is this.... Other than souvenirs, is there anything else we could spend our gift cards on? My kids have gotten several from relatives and they've just hit $300.

Dining tips would be a big one. You can either carry the gift cards with you and hand them to the server, OR (my preference) just use your magic bands at the end of the meal and visit the resort front desk to apply them to the room charges afterwards. FYI, they can only apply gift cards to existing charges (i.e. you can't pre-load them onto your room), so you will need to wait until you have accumulated costs in order to use them.

You can use your Disney gift cards for everything at Disney. You can use it to pay off any remaining balance to your room (ie- anything you have charged to your magic bands). So you could just give them a limit on their magic bands up to the amount of how much for gift cards they have and then when you leave use the gift cards to pay it off, that way you don't have to carry around the gift cards

I've been wondering this myself. Good to know they can be used on everything! Does that also include snacks in the parks? Like Popsicles etc...?

I do not know if this is correct but read somewhere they would not take gift cards for balloons in MK and you would have to have cash.

That is correct. The carts selling bubble guns in Epcot also only accepted cash.

Like the others here, we also used our gift cards to pay for tips, extra snacks outside of the DDP, and souvenirs that were charged to our room using the magic bands. We just went to the front desk on our last night and applied the gift cards to our room charges.
