no they do not expire.

The gift cards that you buy at in stores do nto expire, but you mentioned transferring your points. If you are talking about getting your Disney rewards card, then yes they expire. It will have an expiration date on it. If you are not going to use your reward point soon, then just leave them on your account. If they are near the use by date, then get the card to buy yourself some more time.

I guess I worded my question wrong. I was thinking about transferring my reward points onto the Disney rewards card and then purchasing some gift cards with the rewards card. We don't have a trip until next summer, so should I purchase gift cards or keep them in my account for now.

I just did this. It's so easy and I don't have to worry about the rewards expiring.
