Disney Gift Cards

Hi I hope this is the right board for this question.

We were going to buy our daughter a Disney Gift card for our trip so she buy her souvenirs etc. However, when I read the small print it says not valid at all locations. Does anyone know what locations are not included?

Typically its not valid at the little carts that aren't connected to the computer system.

They are valid at any location on property that will take credit or debit cards.

I had heard they could not be used at the Swan/Dolphin, Bongos, or House of Blues. Is this not true?

Those places are not owned by Disney, they are just on WDW property, so they cant take another companies gift card. This seems to be a very misunderstood topic or confusing, but not everything in WDW is owned by Disney.

We have used them on several trips and they are accepted at most locations. We have never had a problem using them except at a few kiosks. I"m sure there are a few other places, but for the most part, you won't have a problem.
