Disney Gift Cards

Hi All--

I can get Disney Gift Cards through an employee rewards program at my job...does anyone know if all or most Disney restaurants accept these cards? The only info I've been able to get so far is that the cards can be "used at participating...". Well, how can I know who is participating, or not?

Pretty much any where BUT rainforest cafes, mcdonalds sites, the non-disney owned places. And some of the little carts for popcorn, ice cream, they might not have card scanners.

We used these last year and it was really nice not to have cash on us.

We used the Gift Cards on our trip in January- used them all over the parks and DTD for dining, souvenirs, and services. Only had to break out the cash a few times- to get a Mickey bar at a cart in the MK, to get some popcorn at MGM, and at the pretzel/Slushie stand in Epcot (but only because there was a new CM who couldn't figure out how to swipe the card). It was very easy and convenient- they even print out the balance left on the card on each receipt so you can keep track of your spending.

This is terriffic info--I'm especially glad to know that they're so easy to use! At first, I just wanted to be sure I could easily use them before I chose them as my "reward" from my employer. Now, I'll probably go ahead and use them in place of my bank debit card (more secure!), and It will be a good way to stash away cash before our December trip.

Hold on to your receipt- if you lose your card, they can replace it for you at Guest Services (or the Disney Store). The cards are also re-fillable, so you can get one, and add to it as you need- works great for those weekly or monthly trip savers.
