Disney Gift Cards - Not Able to Combine?

We went by a Disney Store this afternoon and planned to combine our Disney gift cards to one gift card to help reduce "clutter" when paying with the GC for our Dec. trip. We were informed by a CM at the register that we couldn't combine the gift cards onto one card. We are fine with having the multiple gift cards, but just wanted to make life a little easier on our travel agent From what I understood you were able to do this. Has anyone else ran into this, or did I just not read the fine print clearly?

You can't combine them.

Your travel agent will have to give them one card at a time over the ohone, it can;t be done online.
