Disney Gift Cards & Magic Bands

I don't thinks so. If you are staying on site and charging to the MBs you can go to the front desk and have the cards applied to the balance. I'm sure someone with experience will chime in.

rwdavis2 is correct - you will need to assign a credit card to your onsite reservation, that you can use to charge back to your room while at the parks, but no charges are actually applied to card till early morning of checkout day. So you can pay off your "tab" with gift cards before then, either the night before checkout or nightly if you like. You just need to check any limits your resorts have - some will charge your card once you hit $500, $1000, etc. so you may have to pay off nightly if that is the case, depending on how much you are charging. We usually are on DDP, so only charge tips, souvineers, and extra meals, so it has not come up for us. So you can still pay everything with gift cards, just can't officially charge to them.

Link your credit card to your MB and then pay your balance with your Disney Gift Card.

Nope, no way to do it, but I sure wish there was. I suppose there would be some security issues, but it certainly would make life easier.

When you pay with your magic band, all you're doing is charging your on site room. Nothing immediately comes off your card like paying with a debit card.

You can charge whatever you want, then go to your hotel lobby and pay off your balance there with a gift card

But nothing is ever linked TO a magic band itself. This is why for now only on site guests can "pay" with a magic band.
