Disney Gift Cards in Canada for USA?

Hi I just got this great idea to get my kids disney gift cards for Easter, but have no idea if I can get them here in Canada??? I know I can't get at Disney Store as I just called. So thought I would come to my friends here on disboards for some help or suggestions????

Well, I recall trying to order a Gift Card through Disney's online shopping once, but they don't ship to Canada??
My best suggestion would be to drive over to Buffalo and pick them up at the Disney Store there....or.....if you have relatives that live in the states, you can order them online and have them shipped to their address (US address) then they can forward them to you by mail.

Thank you....I actually thought of that too....great minds. Of course my friend just got back from Disney last night and as a matter of fact just got off the phone with her. Of course this idea only came to me yesterday....If worst comes to worst I will just make a make believe one until I can figure something out....

You know, that's actually not a bad idea really. When is your next trip? I would make up some Disney Gift Card "vouchers" and give them those. Then when you get to WDW, tell the kids they can 'trade' in their "vouchers" for gift cards.

There isn't a Disney store in Buffalo anymore.

We make our own Disney dollars for the munchkin.

Since we knew we couldn't get Disney Gift Cards or Disney Dollars here I needed to come up with something different for my kids. I downloaded pictures of Disney Dollars from the net and printed them as close to Dollar size as possible. For my son I printed this years style with Mickey etc and the 2007 ones with princesses for my daughter. We actually use these at Disney the kids turn in the printed Disney Dollars when they want to buy a toy or souvenir. This way they can carry them in their wallets and we don't have to worry if they lose them. It helps us keep spending down as they consider each purchase more carefully when they have to turn those dollars in for each thing they want.

I didn't know you couldn't get Disney Dollars here in Canada. I had planned to head to the Disney store this week and get them to put in their eggs that they will hunt for instead of chocolate. New plan needed. I think I'll steal yours and try to download and print them for my kids too. And hey, I grew up in Burlington and live just north of there now.

OH ok....my son went to McMaster so I use to pass Waterdown when I was going to see him. He also played baseball there when he was growing up.

I got some great Disney Vouchers for the kids for Easter....I totally forgot that one of the girls I babysit for is a graphic designer....she made me a cool mickey head for ds and princess crown for dd......

Sorry, I didn't respond sooner. Way too busy with Easter and a rotten head cold that is just dragging me down. So much that I even forgot to give the kids disney dollars for Easter

I think I will print them today and hide them and do the "oh what's this? you must have missed this in your hunt"

How I found them was I googled "Disney Dollar pictures" and the second site that came up on the list was laughing place and it had the 2007 princess Dollars.

Down further in the search results is a site called Disney Dollars. They have images from every year and say you can download and use them, I just tried but my work computer doesn't want to download them.

Below that is an ebay listing that shows all the new 2009 dollars.

Once I found the images I liked,I just right clicked on the image and saved to my computer then printed it sized as close as possible to bill size. I printed on heavier paper so it would feel more real. I only printed the front image and did not try to print both front and back images.

The kids love these and have them in their wallets to take to Disney. I love the idea of them thinking what they want to spend "their" money on, yet not worrying about them losing it. They still get to see the money dwindling as they spend it (by giving it to me when I put any of their purchases on the KTTW card.)
