Disney Gift Cards for Max Pass and/or mobile ordering

Does anyone know if you can pay for MaxPass with gift cards? Mobile ordering is still not available with gift cards either, right?

Through the app no, but MAYBE you could add Maxpass at a ticket booth or guest services with a gift card. It might be worth asking when you’re there, unless someone here has already done that.

Yes, you can use gift cards to purchase MP at the ticket booths, just not via the app. And pp are correct that you must use a credit card for both MP and Mobile Ordering via the app.

Not sure about this, but at this point, I think the only way to purchase MP ahead of time with your tickets is through Disney or UT. If purchasing MP after you've already bought tickets, you do this day of at the booths or with the app after activating at the gate. Anyone else out there have different experience?

I am here now and tried to buy MaxPass with gift cards at a booth. I had bought my park tickets through a discount broker. They told me I would have to have my tickets adjusted to full price in order to add MaxPass at the booths. I have been adding it daily via the app.

I bought a Visa gift card and added it to my grandson's account/app so he could mobile order if he went off on his own. He actually never used it but the app let me add card the information. I think the card just needs an expiration date.

UT now sells tickets with MP pre-purchased, so for those buying tickets from UT who are planning on buying MP anyway, it might be better just to pre-purchase MP up front through UT to avoid the ticket booths.
