Disney Gift Cards for dining plan and APs

Sorry if this has been asked before or if it posted in the wrong forum. I tried to Search but couldn't find any results.

Can I use Disney Gift Cards to pay for our APs and Dining Plan when we arrive at Disney?

Our school uses Simplifed Scrip and they have a great special right now, so I would save about $100.00 and the school gets a nice donation.

I just want to make sure I can use them at check-in before I order them.

I used Disney Gift Cards to pay for the Dining Plan on our trip last October, and the year before. Unless they've changed something between then and now, yes, you can use them to purchase. We've used them many times for a variety of purchases, including tickets, just not AP's, but I'm pretty sure you can use them for those as well. They are a convenient way to buy. I will go throughout the year and get GC's and then use them to pay for various trip expenses so as to not be putting vacation expenses on a cc if at all possible.

We used a $500 Disney gift card to pay for part of our dining plan last month. I'm always nervous about things like that but we had no problems whatsoever.

Yes you can. The only thing you need to consider is they can't be used in non Disney resturants such as Rainforest Cafe and retail locations not Disney owned and operated.

And you cannot purchase Disney Dollars with them. You can however put Disney Dollars on the card.
