Disney Gift Cards at WDW

My son's hockey team is selling gift cards to various companies as a fundraiser. Disney gift cards are available, with 8% going back to the team! I'd love to ballpark what I think we will spend, purchase the gift cards, and just use those.

Do food stands take gift cards? What about park parking booths? I assume all gift shops will. We are going to rent a golf cart for the day at FW, so I wonder about that too.

Does anyone have experience using gift cards at the parks?

If the food kiosk is equipped to take credit/debit as payment, you'll be able to use the gift cards for purchases. You can also use them for parking fees.

We use gift cards all of the time on our trips....its our preffered payment method. You can use them almost everywhere. If it is owned by Disney and is equiped with a card reader for credit/debit you are good to go. There are a few places for example places at Downtown Disney or at the Swan and Dolphin as they are not actually owned by Disney.

I didn't know about the use of gift cards for parking, that is great news, one less thing to carry cash for!

I think the easiest thing is to change to the room and then pay that balance with gift cards.

This too! Not a lot of folks know that they can be used for tipping at TS meals. The Disney Gift Cards are truly a great alternative to avoid carrying cash and credit/debit cards.

I purchase them at target and get 5% off.

How do you use the gift cards for TS gratuity? Do you just give your server the gc and tell them how much to deduct from it?
