Disney gift card ?

I just received a gift card from Disney because I opened a visa account. There is no expiration date. Does anyone know when it expires? It says card is not valid for use until purchased, activated or money added. It also says you may use this card at select participating locations at Disney World. What exactly does that mean? Can I use it at the disney restaurants or at the disney stores at the parks. I know I can't purchased disney dollars because it says I can't. Never used a disney gift card before. Any help you would be appreciated.
