Disney Gift Card ?

There are gift cards available at Disney Stores, that can be used at "select" locations at WDW.

Does anyone know what the "select" locations are? Could I use it at any of the theme parks, restaurants, and/or resorts?

Any Disney owned store will except them. There are some kiosks at the parks that won't except them but last year they were trying to fix the system so that all kiosks would take them. None of the Downtown Disney stores will take them with the exception of "Once upon a Toy" and other Disney themed stores.Most of the Disney themed stores are easy to notice. They have the characters all over the windows.

The restaurants are suppose to take them but when I went there were alot of kinks in the system and it was dicey on which restaurant would be able to take them. I would just call Disney and ask them about the restaurants.

I know the resort gift shops,every last one, will take them.
I used my gift card last year and loved it! I didn't have to carry hardly any cash with me at all. Once the money was gone I could reload or throw it away-easy as pie! The only downer was at the Virgin Music store I couldn't use it- I had to find out the hard way that only Disney stores accepted the card.

Thanks for the reply. One of my friends offered to get me this as a gift for an early-Christmas presant since my trip is right before Christmas. So as long as I can use it at several places, I'm sure I'll be able to use it up. I don't like carrying a lot of cash with me anyway.

another option is getting Disney Dollars... You can use them anywhere in the park!!

The gift card that the Disney Store sells now is a new one that they told me came out just a few months ago. All Disney owned stores are supposed to be able to take them but I was told by a rep with the gift card company that not all places have upgraded to take them. The resort front desks do not take them at this time. You can go to the Disney website and under shop click in gift card and there is info posted there.
