Disney gift card question

Newbie question! Do disney gift cards work on the cruise? We want to give our kids each a gift card to buy souvenirs at the gift shop. Yes, we can just give them cash, but we are putting together a surprise box next week to tell them about the cruise and wanted to make it disney themed.

As noted, yes they can be used in the gift shops - one note, be sure it's a Disney Gift Card (should display DCL logo on it), and not a Disney STORE Gift Card (those are only good at Disney Stores).

You can't use cash onboard, so for purchases in the gift shop, gift cards work.

Another note, their KTTW cards will have purchase power (if you set it up that way).
