Disney Gift Card Question

I was considering getting Emily a Disney Gift Card to use for spending money while we're at Disney. On the site where I'd order them, it says they are good at "participating locations at Walt Disney World Resort". I assume this means that you can't use it somewhere like Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney because Disney doesn't own that, but thought I'd verify before I purchase. I'd sure hate to be somewhere like World of Disney and not be able to use it.

The Disney Gift Cards are accepted anywhere that is owned by Disney that you could use your KTTW card or a regular credit card. Some of the street vendors like the Main St. balloon vendor and the CMs selling light ups at Fantasmic! will not be able to take the card. You will be able to use it at WoD if you want to.

You will be able to use it for food as well. As PP said anywhere you can use your KTTK card you can use it!

There are very few places that you cannot use the gift card. I just returned from a 5 day trip and used mostly the gift card. We ate at T-Rex and I was expecting not to be able to use it there, but asked anyway, and was surprised to be told they accepted it. In fact, the only thing I paid cash for was the tip for housekeeping. Hope that helps you decide.
