Disney gift card/food purchase

Can you use the Disney gift card at the restaurants at WDW? I was looking to order it online at Disneystore.com

Yes you can use regular disney gift cards for food purchases.

IF you get the 'deal' gift card offer buy $500 gift card but only pay $395 it cannot be used for food purchases. This is a special pin type of offer that some have reported getting over the past year. It is only good at WDW for sovieners and non food purchases.

I did this on my solo trip and it worked out pretty well. I would recommend using a pretty big gc because food prices ain't cheap!

I was on the DDP, and I used my GC to pay for the tips. It worked out well, so I didn't have to worry about putting it on my room, or carrying the cash. I just pulled out my "tip" card.

Thanks to everyone for the information. I know what I want for Christmas and my birthday then -- Disney gift cards!!!

I have the Disney Visa Card and use that for meals too but getting a Disney gift card as well will work out great for paying for some meals.
