Not off of Disney gift cards, but Meijer has $3 off of your next purchase for every $50 spent on gift cards. It is a reward you can clip and good thru November 21. And it looks like Disney gift cards are included.

Since we're talking gc's....I've heard about using the Target RedCard to get 5% off Disney gift cards online and am hoping to use that this next trip!:smooth: My question is this: can you buy a gift card with a gift card?

Let's say I purchase a Target gift card and get 5% off with redcard. can I then turn around and use that gift card to buy a Disney gift card and get another 5% off...for 10% savings???

I so hope that this is possible...would really add up! Any thoughts or experiences? TIA.

You can't get 5% off a Target gift card using your red card. You can use a Target gift card online to purchase a Disney gift card and get 5% off if you have your red card set as your default payment.

Sweet! Thanks, havaneselover! I hadn't thought of it til now, but that would be 10% savings without messing with raise.com, etc. One site, much simpler, great idea. YAYAY!:bounce:

Thanks, DISers!:disrocks:

You don't get 5% off with your target red card for buying Target gift cards at target.

So, you would only be saving 5% if you didn't buy the target gift cards at discounted websites like Raise or Cardpool.

You read that wrong. No, it doesn't work. Otherwise, you could keep buying Target gift cards with Target gift cards until they were free.

I am trying to understand the value of the ebay gift cards... It doesn't seem like ebay sells Target cards for a discount other than the promoted Thanksgiving deal, right? Am I missing something? Also, is it risky to buy on ebay versus Raise, Cardpool, etc.? I understand there isn't a risk when ebay sells it directly, but what about all those other resellers?

You can buy Disney gift cards from Target, and you can use Target gift cards in combination with Target's REDcard to pay for Disney gift cards. So, think of every retailer/place where you can buy Target/Disney gift cards as a step or opportunity to get some % off or pick up a bonus (which are essentially the same thing, money in your pockets). This is also known as gift card churning.

Going through eBay only makes sense if there's some kind of deal that gives you $ off or $ back. And when we're talking about eBay, we're really talking about Gift Card Mall's eBay store (GCM is a reputable dealer that also runs gift card kiosks at places like Safeway). Two of the most popular deals are, like you mentioned, when GCM has a sale on their Target gift cards in an amount that negates the shipping costs or comes with free shipping; or when eBay offers an eBay Bucks bonus, which is free eBay money back multiplied by whatever the bonus for however much you spend (on gift cards) that you can redeem (on gift cards) in the next quarter.

The eBay route is attractive also because you can pay with eBay gift cards, which you can buy at Target for 5% off with your REDcard and pay for them with Target gift cards -- adding to your overall savings. Recently, Ebates has also been giving 1% cash back on gift card purchases on eBay.

Bottom line: Think of each retailer where you can buy Disney/Target/eBay gift cards as a step in a cycle where you can pocket money by saving through discounts or getting cash/bonuses back. If you're doing it right, you should see money saved or money back with each step. The more steps, the more money saved but also the longer you tie up your money in gift cards. Cycle as many times as you have the time and patience, and cash out (for Disney gift cards or whatever else) when you need to. Small savings adds up over time.

Thank you for the very detailed and informative reply! I will keep an eye out for the ebay deals too now.

Did you see that Raise.com is offering new customers an additional $10 with promo code "SAVE10"? This can be stacked with the $5 referral credit. I am not sure how long the code will be available.

Hi all! Someone was going to send me their tracking spreadsheet they used for their gift card collecting. I never did get it and it's been a while since I've been able to get on the board so now I've forgotten who posted about it! If that poster is here, could you please resend it? Or if someone else has a tracking sheet they use, I'd dearly love to get one. I love excel sheets but just can't seem to wrap my mind around building one for this. Thanks in advance and my email is beldred (at) gmail (dot) com.

Just tried to order some ebay gift cards online at Target (paying with Target gift cards). Order was canceled. Any idea why they do that and a possible workaround??? Bad timing as I wanted to use the ebay cards for a x-mas gift during these last few hours of 3x ebay bucks promo.

I tried again, so we'll see what happens.

No. I tossed in some gift tissue paper in order to get ebates, but it was to be shipped. My second attempt was canceled as well. Odd.

Can digital coupons be used online for orders to be shipped? Or just in store? Thanks!

Here is the fine print ...

"$20.00 off $100.00 in iTunes, Best Buy, Bass Pro Shop, Macy's, Lowe's, Cabela's, Gap, or Starbucks Gift Cards"

Terms and Conditions:Limit One Coupon Per Purchase Of Product Indicated Coupon May Not Be Mechanically Reproduced, Doubled Or Combined With Any Other Offer We Reserve the Right to Limit Quantities Purchased on this Coupon. Coupon may not exceed value of item purchased Limited to Stock On Hand

So the Target 20% of one transaction coupon that we can get on Black Friday, I can't find the fine print on the 20% part. Can we buy Disney Entertainment Cards with that? They did a similar thing a couple years ago. I forget if that one worked on Disney cards.
