Disney Gift Card Deals

I called customer service and it was not the best experience I've ever had. First the guy didn't believe me and thought I just had buyer's remorse until I forced him to go to the website and click through to the screen I ordered from. Then he said there were two different Happy Her cards, and I had ordered the "normal" one and not the super duper special one (my words not his) I wanted. Finally he said he would escalate my issue to request a refund. The review would take 3-5 days, and if they issue a refund it will take up to 30 days and come in the form of a snail mail hard check.

I hate admitting how dumb I can be but thought it might be worth a heads up. :)

I had to wait 30 days for my check too but on the bright side I got the full amount back, so you should be getting a check for $100 even though you only spent $85 ;)

I’m sad for all of you that don’t have a Kroger or a Kroger gas station. :guilty: I love the 4x fuel points on gc! With two trips coming up, I try to make the most of that. I buy gc for anything that I am going to use anyway (with a rewards cc8-)). Then when the time comes to use them, we get the whole 35 gallons. Any way to save a buck, right?

Exactly! For me I'd rather have a definite deal compared to YMMV.

DD gets a car in December. I can't wait until I can do two fill ups at once. I have an Odyssey and she is likely getting a civic. We should be able to get close to 35 gallons if we coordinate it properly. This will help offset the pain of buying her a car and paying for her insurance:)

Hubby drives quite a bit so we exchange cars. He drives his until the tank empties to 1/4 then he takes my car. By the time he's getting close to empty we fill up. This method has been working out perfectly.
We divide and concour to maximize our fuel points. I do most of the driving in my SUV. When the low light comes on I fill-up the 25 gal tank and then fill up 2-5 gal containers for his cars. He has 12 cars and doesn't burn much gas between all of them per month.

I got a deal at BJs wholesale Club. If you call their corp office and buy more than $5000 of GCs, they give you a huge "bulk rate" discount (8 - 12% depending on where they need to be for sales at End of Quarter...best to call around the end month in April, July, Oct, Jan ). I used my Disney CC to buy them and got another 1% in rewards.

That is the great part. The bad part is my $7800 of GCs came in $50 GCs. I spent 8+ hours in total entering them as form of payment to my Disney trip. But with the 10% I got, plus free dining, and some more on my Disney Visa redemption card, Im getting a good deal on this vacation!

When did you get yours from Bj's ?
interesting, I emailed the person at BJ's corporate yesterday, the answer was no current additional promos, I was waiting and hoping that there would be something addl around July 4th.
went online & purchased 10 $500 cards, Bj's 4% +cc1% unfortunately gift cards do not qualify for my Bj's membership card that gives 2% back
cruise is less then 2weeks, so I can't wait any longer.
I did stock up on a lot when stop & shop had the $15 coupon in June

Our family has four cars and there have been times when we’ve had all of them lined up at once. lol! We plan out at the beginning of the week what day we will get gas. Normally we let the kids fill their cars first (college kids), then DH’s and either my car or the gas can. If the first three vehicles are low, those are enough to get all 35 gallons. We can pretty much gauge based on how much each car needs what we need to do to hit the 35 mark. The kids appreciate the discounted gas for sure. People will look at us kinda funny when we fill up and I’ve had some cashiers make comments about the high number of points we have (all good), but hey, it works for us!

I was able to complete my Shopkick challenge for June, which was basically earn 1000 more kicks than the month before. The reward for doing so was 5% off the redemption amount needed to get a select few gift cards available. I had been saving for a Lowe's gift card to use with my new house that is being built. However, Lowe's was not one of the stores that you could get the discount with.

Disney was though! So I redeemed some of my accumulated "kicks" (with a 5% discount) to get $75 in Disney Gift Cards for FREE!!! Not bad for a month of shopkicking.

RMN is 8% on shopdisney and you can pay with PayPal, which is 5% with discover. I have had luck previously with buying gcs without a filler.
They also have free shipping today and tomorrow so if you do need a filler it does not have to be a $75 filler ;)
Nevermind its fuel points. Our Kroger doesn't have a gas station so they are pretty worthless around here
There are banners at ours for the 4x fuel point offers all the time but we don't have the gas station either.
FYI - I bought two $50 happy cards on Sunday because Amex had a $15 off $100 offer. When I went to the happycards.com website I clicked on the giant colorful "Buy Happy Card" button in the top right-hand corner of the screen. It seemed like a reasonable thing to do at the time, since my intent on visiting the website was to Buy a Happy Card. It took me to a screen with pictures of 12 different Happy cards. The first one was the Happy Her card, the picture of which featured 10 different store symbols, including Bed Bath & Beyond. Since I specifically wanted to use the cards at BB&B, I thought, "Great! I'll select that one!" (Ah, the naivete of youth. I am three days older and wiser now.)

Today I received the cards, and lo and behold the two Happy Her cards only feature 6 store symbols, none of which is BB&B, and none of which I have any immediate plans to shop at. I figuratively turned into a frowny-face emoji, and went back to the website to see if I had made a mistake. I sort of had, and sort of hadn't. The visual representation of the card was as I described it above, but the fine print next to the picture said which stores the card could be used at, and it's the 6 pictured on the cards I received. Fine print? Who reads fine print? (The font wasn't even that fine it was probably 12 point, oops.)

I agree about their customer service - not great. I had one of my cards not work, would not scan or enter the numbers. I called to get the balance and the $$ was there. I emailed them twice with no reply, not even an acknowledgement that I sent the email (through their site). So I called and they told me to go and try again! Then I should call them back - yeah, not after being on hold for almost 20 minutes the first time around. I told her I would like a new card or a refund. Agent told me that "if" they decided on a refund I would hear in 3-5 days. I am sure it will be fine but I just have too many balls in the air and was not in the mood for the runaround.

Their HQ closed at noon yesterday for the holiday. Not sure who you spoke with. I bought mine in April.

Their deal is based off sales quotas (no holiday promos). If they are down on GC sales, the % off is more, but minimum is 8% (actually 7.8%) for $5K or more (bulk).

Must be targeted. It's not showing for me :(. My Sam's club does still have Disney gift cards (for now...)
Dosh not showing up for me either. Like @MamaKate stated, our Sam's still has all the Disney GC. Oh darn.
My Sam's isn't showing either....and to tell you the truth I haven't looked recently to notice the DGC situation. I did, however, just use a $15 off $50 purchase when using the store pick-up deal. I bought $50 worth of goods (for store pick up)and $150 in DGC (which were shipped to me because they didn't offer store pick up). My disney math tells me I got those gift cards for 10% off in addition to the already discounted price...and I paid retail for the $50 worth of goods. :)
