Disney Game: Based On lies?
Disney’s Virtual Magic Kingdom unveiled

Author: Unknown
22 July 2006

CALIFORNIA - Recently, it has been determined by non-officials that Disney’s Virtual Magic Kingdom is based on ineffectual lies.

Upon entering Shrunken Ned’s, The Emporium, the Pirate Tree house, the Haunted Mansion rooms, and the Matterhorn, guests are greeted personally and warmly by the NPC (non-playing characters). Or are they?

VMK player, Britney Spears, complains that other players are receiving the same warm welcome as she is. “They [NPCs] would say something to me and I would reply to them. I was sure they were talking to just me”, she begins, “but then I saw another player answering the same characters with a similar response to mine. I didn’t like that.” She later explains that she was furious to learn of such impersonal greetings and how her conversations were based on lies.

Other VMK members have had similar experiences. Long term player and community leader, Mick Jagger, tells us that he has yet to visit Disneyland. “Esmeralda calls herself a Fortune Teller. I call her phony”, he says as he flips through a torn book.

Despite the awkwardly “phony” non-playing characters, other issues evolve centering on lies.

When a code is entered, a message appears informing the player that he/she is now the envy of the kingdom. It is argued by some that no such “envy” is obtained by receiving this virtual item. “I was walking down Main Street with my new Davey Jones Organ safely kept in my inventory and no one commented on it”, starts beta member Michael Jackson, “VMK promised me envy and I didn’t get that. They lied to me and it hurts”, he continues.

Is Disney’s Virtual Magic Kingdom too good to be true? If these are only a few lies well hidden inside the kingdom, are we also to believe they don’t actually read player-sent letters?

Very comical Front. I guess you haven't been hugging the trees in Main Street again, because you had time to write this.. (Or were you only doing that because it was Earth Day and you were supposed to hug the tree) We'll never know..
