Sorry if this is just a little off topic, saw Frozen 3d yesterday.

:thumbsup2

Wow ! Wow and double wow.

I wont spoil it but there is a cartoon on just before it that blew me out of my seat it was that good. My kids really thought they had come alive. Go see it you will know what Im talking about.

And the movie it self, its the best movie since The Lion King, it might even be better, I wont know till i see it 500 more times. But the last time i came out of a cinema feeling like that about a movie i was 5 and saw the Jungle book (Im not that old it was being shown in the mid 80's cant remember why)

DW and I saw Frozen on Saturday night, and I fully agree it's a great movie with a wonderful sound track to go with it. If your going to see it in the cinema stay to the very end of the titles.

The Mickey Mouse short before it is great fun too.

oh no, what did i miss at the end !!! PM me !

It's lovely isn't it? I took Oliver on Saturday and I so totally agree with you about the short film beforehand - just amazing!!! How animation has come on! Not sure if this movie is screened in 2D as well but just to say, you HAVE to watch in 3D if you haven't seen it yet. :thumbsup2

Strangely we were only one of about eight family groups in the cinema, we do live in a quiet area but I had anticipated it being packed out all the same.

I have bought Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven and Kristoff plush for Oliver for Christmas! :santa:

Oh no, I missed this as well! Please PM me too!!

I think I might suprise DD by taking her to see this tonight. I don't normally like 3d films (I just never seem to 'get' the 3d effect) but if it's better in 3d we will do that! :)

I didn't think that the 3D was that great for the movie itself, I wouldn't have sprung for the extra $$, I'm sure the 2D was just as good. But - the pre-movie, "Get a Horse" I believe it was called - AWESOME! That, alone, was worth the 3d. I can't even begin to figure out how they did that. As for the movie itself, I liked the plot twists, and without giving too much away, I like how when Anna needed "an act of true love" it doesn't turn out as expected. It was nice that it wasn't a typical ending. Music was great too!

PM sent to cherrymarzipan and manicdave.

It's a great film to watch in 3D, it realy jumps out at you and the snow flakes appear as if they are falling all around you.

That's what I meant! Worth seeing in its own right and has to be 3D.

Can you PM me too? We stayed until the Cast list came up :/

Edit: we loved it too. Saw it in 2D but now kinda regret it as would have loved to see the Get a horse short in 3D. Walt Disney voiced Mickey in it too. Big thumbs up. And can I just say I waaaaaaaant a reindeer! I loved Sven and Olaf. Oh and the guy with the discount summer stock. We lol'd :D

We were lucky enough to see Frozen last Sunday, the day before our DLP trip and it really set us up nicely :)

We all fell in love with Olaf and the songs and general animation were wonderful. Also see this in 3D, which I don't usually like but it was great for this :thumbsup2

I loved the cartoon before too - very, very clever :goodvibes

Can you please pm me too - we ALWAYS stay til after the credits but for some reason didn't yesterday!

I have to say - I totally agree with everyone WOWOWOWOWOW! We loved it - I am a snow girl; I want to live in an ice castle - I was in awe of everything about this film and loved the twist and how it all turned out! Just fantastic!

Rosebug was surprised with a trip to see this yesterday by her Christmas elf (she gets a note from the elf in her advent calendar) Elf Holly also left a special dress for her to wear to go to the cinema in:

I only saw it in 2-d and I thought it was an excellent movie. Best Disney move in a decade or more in my opinion. The songs really blew me away.

Lol don't know what happened there! Thought it was fabulous :-D. Highly recommend 3 D......and yes stay to the very end....we were loving the music and then got the little extra right St the end <3

I had to leave as the credits to take DS to the bathroom. What did we miss? Someone please PM me. Thanks so much!

Took my little girl to see it on Sunday, thought it was superb! Didn't think it was on the same level as Tangled or the Toy Story(ies) but still fantastic never the less!

Interestingly, I was speaking to a CM in our local (York) Disney Store about the film on Monday. After a brief exchange she asked me if.....

....SPOILER ALERT!....

.... I'd seen Rapunzel and Ryder in the film?!? I had no idea what she was talking about so asked her to elaborate. Apparently as they open up the castle doors (for the Coronation) and Anna goes running out into the courtyard area, Rapunzel and Ryder are in the crowds waving at her.

I'm GUTTED I missed this! And more so for the bit after the credits....anyone care to PM me to fill me in?

SPOLIER BELOW
(highlight it with your mouse...)

At the end of the title sequence there is an additional scene with 'Marshmallow' - the giant snow creature at Elsa's palace. He puts on Elsa's crown, the one she had thrown down the mountain and dances around the ballroom.

END SPOLIER

Oh for crying out loud,we always stay to the end of credits but I didn't know about this one so we left mid way through the credits!!
We went to see it last friday before we went to dlrp on Sunday,it defiantly made the show and parades more enjoyable having seen the film first.
My daughter was desperate for an Olaf plush whilst in dlrp but we couldn't find one anywhere in the parks.
Think we might have to go to the cinema again this weekend and see frozen in 3d!!!!!! Lol
