Hi - I am looking for some advice on going to Disney for a weekend. I am going to be in Orlando for business and have the opportunity to stay through the weekend. Is it worth it? If so, any budget friendly advice? It doesn't appear that there are any Disney packages for a weekend. Friday-Sunday at the end of June.

Advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I would say yes absolutely!

My DBF and I went for a weekend last December and we had a great time! We flew in late Thursday night and flew back Sunday night around 6pm.

Friday: Went to HS, did all the highlights and then hopped over to Epcot (did Soarin and toured WS)
Saturday: Did all of AK (only missed Flights of Wonder, Conservation Station) and then headed over to MK for Wishes and MSEP
Sunday: Early CP reservation followed by MK til 4pm.

We were so tired by the end of the weekend but we had a fantastic time! Tickets were pricey because its after 3 days the price starts going down substainally for additional days, but considering all the entertainment you get at one day at Disney I think its still worth it.

I would stay at one of the value resorts, I think they are doing 15% off Room only for the Monstorous Summer Promotion. If you stay on site you wouldn't have to keep your rental, or get one.

I'm actually planning on doing the same thing when I am down in Orlando for work sometime in either June or July, I can't wait! Airfare is what makes Disney trips so expensive for me.

DH and I usually do weekend trips to WDW. Weekends are great if you realize that you can't do everything. Plan for a few priorities and know that if you can't do a particular headliner, it's ok because you will be back on a longer trip.

Plan to stop and smell the roses (literally and figueratively).
