I would really love some photos AND reviews from Akershus dinner and Les Chefs de France dinner! Pretty please! :goodvibes

Sorry, I can't offer pictures of Akershus (because that was pre-DIS and I didn't know you were supposed to take pictures of your food). But we really enjoyed it. We went for dinner in 2009. I loved sampling all the cold items on the bar (cheeses, meats, etc). I know someone else can probably give you a great post on Akershus! We did enjoy it enough that we're going back in March. :thumbsup2

On the upside, I can offer a few Chefs de France pictures! (Again, we'd totally go back; we recommend it!)

Filet de Saumon, ratatouille sauce Choron (salmon with ratatouille)
It was delicious! I didn't like the ratatouille though (personal preference, nothing was wrong with it). I had never had it before, so I was glad to try something new! :goodvibes

Disneyworld2010056.jpg

Demi poulet fermier roti, pommes rissolees et tomate grillee (roasted chicken)
This was DH's dish. He licked the plate clean, so it must have been great! :thumbsup2

Disneyworld2010057.jpg

Profiteroles au chocolat (puffs with chocolate sauce)
Mmmmmm!!!!! :cloud9:

We also had soups --Soupe a l'oignon gratinee (onion soup) and Bisque de Homard (lobster bisque) -- and DH had a dessert -- Creme Brulee -- but no pictures. (So sorry!) We enjoyed it very much! :thumbsup2

Just got back from my first trip to WDW. I've been planning it for nearly a year. I never would have thought to take pics of my meals and snacks if not for coming across sites like this during my research for the trip. Chronicling a trip with food pics is a great idea. And very helpful in determining what I wanted to try on my vacation when I could see what the food looked like based on the pics posted by others. So I hope mine will help someone else who's planning their first trip!

My Mom and I split an order of fish and chips from the English snack stand at Epcot. As I don't drink soda any more I carried around sugar free drink mix packets to add to my bottle water for flavor, here I added a lemonade mix.

My B-day cake ordered from Publix (which after a full day of eating at Epcot I wasn't exactly in the mood for) Thankfully, though it looks heavy it was surprisingly light.

Lunch at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe at Magic Kingdom. I had the Turkey sandwich with a pitiful little cucumber salad, Mom had the burger

My Brother's chicken dinner from 50's cafe. My Mom and I both had the sampler platter with Chicken, pot roast, and meatloaf, which I didn't care for at all. Honestly, the berry smoothy I ordered was the best thing I had there.

Our first night's dinner we ate at T-Rex. Mom and I shared the salmon platter and split the appetizer for 2 with a side order of ribs. Way too much food for the 2 of us. Half of it went un-eaten. I have to say though the ribs were awesome! Next time I'm skipping the salmon and ordering a rib dinner!

Reuben. This was delicious. Too bad DH ordered it and not me! The fries were also delicious

And the burger. This was just okay. The bun was too big and too dry :(

I think this is the panini? I can't remember. DH won the restaurant battle again and ordered the much better entree

Thank you everyone for the kind words about my weightloss. I haven't yet reached my ultimate goal, I have about 40 or so more pounds to lose, but to give you an idea of how far I've come, here is a before pic of me about 4yrs ago and one of me 9 days ago acting silly from Universal Studios. Plus one more food pic I forgot to include.
Speaking of 40, that was the birthday I was celebrating, and the nicest gift I got was twice that day when people saw my button and knew it was my b-day, they thought I was turning 18! :woohoo:
