Disney First Timer!!! Nightlife Question!!!

This is my first thread, and this is my first time experiencing WDW. I am spending my honeymoon at WDW 08/27-09/03, and I would like to explore Pleasure Island a couple nights during our stay, and I had a few questions that some of you may be able to answer.

I am 20, and I am marrying a man who is 23. I'm from Texas and rule is here that I must be able to show proof of marriage to Gavin for me to get into bars/clubs/buy drinks, etc. Is this the same in Florida? If not, are the bars 18 and up? I'm very curious, and I don't know anyone who is my age and travels to WDW on their honeymoons or ever!!! WDW is my dream come true and Gavin is my prince charming, so why not, right?

you can get into the bars - but you can't drink liquoir or any alchololic beverage.... you must 21 in florida.

I had the same situation. I was under 21 and according to the state of Florida I was not even going to have a sip. I still had a great time dancing the night away. Some clubs, like the Bet Soundstage, do not allow any one under 21 to get in. Just ckeck on the age restrictions. Believe me no matter what you and your new hubby will love it. Congratulations.

congrats!!!!! i believe that you need to be 21 to go to mannequins as well, but all the others are 18. you will not get a drink if you are not 21. if your husband orders 2 drinks the bartender is supposed to ask to see the 2nd person's wrist band. i know some bartenders at pi and they strictly enforce this. have a great time!

Must be 18 years or older to enter Club Motion. Must be 18 years or older to enter Mannequins Dance Palace Sunday through Wednesday. Must be 21 or older to enter Mannequins Dance Palace and BET SoundsStage™ Club Thursday through Saturday. Valid photo I.D. required. All Clubs are non-smoking. "

Sweet!! Thanks to everyone for your prompt responses. I'm not too worried about the drinking situation. I don't really like to drink, but my main concern was getting into the clubs, so then I'm just about set I'd say!
