Disney First Time - CB or BC Villas worth extra money?

For a first time visit, if GF is pricing out the same as BCV/YC, I would choose GF if you are willing to spend the extra $2200. GF is WDW's flagship resort and is really stunning (IMHO). It has lovely pools and a splash pad which your young children might like. There is also now a walking path from GF to MK. You will also have a view of the MK from the marina and beach area, plus the monorail and boat access to MK. GF screams "I'm in WDW!" more than BCV/YC do, IMHO. Don't get me wrong - I love BCV/YC and the EP area resorts, but for anyone's first time visit, if you can afford it, I would always recommend a MK resort - monorail, view of MK - it's quintessentially WDW. If $2200 is a stretch, CBR is lovely and you will have access to the Skyliner which is nice. Personally, I would choose GF if you want to spend the extra money. If not, go with CBR.

I don’t know what to say except that it is simply not true—search for yourself, there are discounts available all three resorts and BCV/YC are significantly less expensive.

I agree that something isn’t right about what your TA is telling you.

Will you have your own transportation? If not keep in mind in addition to the other negatives mentioned, CB is a sprawling resort and dealing with the internal buses could be a pain. All things being equal I would spend the extra money for the proximity to parks and bigger rooms that GF or YC/BCV would give you, but ultimately no one can answer “is it worth it” for your family.

We go to DW every year, love to stay at CB it’s beautiful and now it has a skyliner station in walking distance, so convenient. It really effects your experience to be able to use the skyliner not the bus we walked on pretty much each time we went to Epcot or Hollywood studios and the Rivera Resort is also in walking distance and it’s a beautiful place with multiple restaurants as well. We are already planning our next trip and the skyliner keeps coming up. So you have to ask yourself is 200 sq ft more worth 2200$?
It does have a beautiful pool area if you use it , CB has a nice pool also.

Personally we found SAB very tricky at that age. To go onto the slide, you have to leave the pool area and head across the public walkway. Its also deeper than other pools I think. I would save that resort for when your kids are a bit older, personally. We like to choose resorts based on where we plan to spend our days, and often do split stays based on that.
With little ones, we've preferred monorail resorts for at least part of our stay. Its invaluable to us to be able to quickly return to our room if we'd like, or to get back and forth from park breaks/pool time.
We loved CB resort, its very kid friendly and now the skyliner adds more. So no, I wouldnt pay the 2200 more. Thats a huge amount of money.
