I'm looking to chat with people who are as obsessed with Disney as I am! I've gone about 9 times. I'm 28 and I'm looking forward to planning my next trip!

I havent' been on here in a while so I thought Id' say hi!

Hi all,

I don't have an official next trip planned. I'm single, and I am debating the merits of going alone. I posted on the solo board and no one has replied yet. My friends either dont' like Disney or want to go elsewhere. What are your thoughts?

I travel alone quite often, done both Disneyland and WDW alone plenty of times. And there are quite a few locals (Orlando) on this board, so I say set a date!

I'm a local (Winter Park, FL) and go just about every other weekend. Mostly go alone (BF lives 2 1/2 hours away) and it has pros/cons. Welcome!

I've never done it before, but I think I would. I often wander away from "the group" to shop where I want, do something no one else wants to do, or whatever. The only problem I think about is eating alone. I don't think I would like that.

Hi Brian!

I suggest you go to Gay Day at Disneyland (October) or at WDW (June). That's a great time to go and meet people. Even the planning of the trip is great cause you get to chat with lots of folks on line, etc.

Also, I might recommend you listen to the DISUnplugged podcast. It's very gay friendly, lots of fun and they plan meets every so often to actually meet in person.

Thank you all. I have posted on here on and off for the last two years, but it's been mostly off.

I just wonder if there are people out there who I can meet who will understand my love for traveling to Disney!

The only problem I think about is eating alone.

Eating alone can have its advantages as well. I travel alone fairly often; I'll opt to sit at the bar at times. Doesn't make it seem like you're dining alone plus you usually get seated faster that way with no wait time for a table.

I've never gone to the Parks by myself, but I wouldn't mind it. When I was traveling for work for 2 years, I got use to eating by myself, shopping, going to movies and whatever else by my lonesome. It does take getting use to.

I would LOVE to go on a solo trip....however I have a family who would revolt if I did!!!!!!

The thought of seeing things I want to see, going at my own pace, looking in the shops, doing a tour or 2, meeting up with people from the DIS and friends who live in FL.... I even priced out a trip, but it would have been like $1000 for tickets, room and meals.....YIKES!

For now I have convinced DH to go back next year (he wanted to 'do something else'....what else is there?!?! lol!) so we will go as a family, and as I see solo travelers I will be envious of them!!!

Disney freak here and my partner is also and just returned from our 2nd. We have our 3rd planned for September and we are still deciding on our mid-winter trip!
