Disney Fanasty September 21-28, 2013 Easteren Caribbean

I swear I posted in this thread, but now I can't see my response.

Anyway, I'm going. I'm Megan. Technically traveling solo, but in an ever growing group of friends. I just won't have to fight anyone for the bathroom! ;)

:rotfl2:You stand no chance of being anything resembling solo!! The group is now much to big for that!

Hi everyone!

Fundulidae conviced us to go also. It's me, DH and DD who'll be 3 at the time also (her first cruise). It'll be our 2nd Disney cruise but we've done a few others.

Hi Everyone!

We just booked on the Disney Cruise ship the NEW Disney Fantasy for 2013, I am soooo glad to see there are others who have booked and are a part of this awesome group!!!! We LOVED doing Fish Extenders on the last cruise and getting to know such awesome people last year! It really made the cruise so much more fun!!

We originally were booked for May, but we decided to surprise our daughter who will be turning 11 on the 26th during our cruise!!! I heard the Atrium is all PEACOCK! and that is our last name, so it will be even MORE special and cool for our family! Even better than the Dream, if that is possible!! ha ha

My mom and dad are going to be joining us too! Since we have been raving about the Disney Dream and Castaway Cay, they decided to come too!

My parents are booked in Stateroom: 10545 and we are in Stateroom: 10570.

I look forward to meeting all of you and had such a good time with this group in May-June 2011:tinker: on the Dream and look forward to an even better time this time around since we are a 7 day instead of a 5 day!!! WAHOOOOO!

Talk to you all soon!!

Happy Disney Travel!!!

Stef

Has anyone sailed around this time in the past? I am super worried about hurricanes! I live in Utah, so we only just see what is on the news and it looks like last year at the time of our cruise for next year they had a category 4 hurricane! I am a tad nervous about that and also we were planning on hitting Disney World while over there, a week before the cruise. I just wonder if it will be raining and super bad weather the whole time?? any thoughts?

From what I understand, in case of hurricanes, they just reroute the ship to avoid the storms. That can sometimes mean missing ports.

Welcome Stef & family. I like fish extenders also. It was so much fun.

I sure hope we are able to port at Castaway, that place is amazing, I would just cry if we missed out on it!! I hope the weather is good at Disney World too. It is a risk going at Hurricane season, but... they have not had to cancel a Disney cruise in over 10 years. So that is a good sign. :)

…I don’t peek on here for a couple of months and the group doubles in size!

Hello, Jen, fundulidae, Megan, deltapilot and Stef.

Stef: you reminded me to add our state room number: 8100

Plans are still on for this cruise at this point. But first we hit the WDW Food & Wine Fest in October this year, then Key West (first visit) next April. Well…..that’s the plans for right now anyway.

That is awesome!!! :) We are taking the kids down to Disneyland for Christmas. They think we have to fly out on Christmas Eve for a job interview to possibly move us to California and they are NOT happy about it! LOL I arranged for a 12 person stretch Limo to pick us up and for a sign to be in the window, "Peacock kids, are you ready for Disneyland!" they have no idea and it is going to be so great! My little brother is coming with us, they think he is coming to babysit! ha ha ha! :) Then we are staying at the Disneyland Hotel and will be there until the 29th. :) I cannot wait for the trip because we have never been at Christmas time! :)

Then our next big trip will be the September Cruise for next year. My daughter turns 11 on the 26th during our cruise. We are so super excited about that! Also, the week before the cruise, we are going to be staying in Disney World, hitting all the parks and I just found out that at the Magic Kingdom while we are there they are doing Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!!! So, my parents are coming with us on the cruise and pre-cruise trip as well and we have decided we are all going to be M&M's for the Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom!!! My mom is going to be the plain M&M wrapper and my dad the Peanut one. Then the rest of us will be assorted M&M's!! It is going to be so great! I am super excited! :)

I look forward to meeting you all and having a lot of fun together on the cruise!

Hugs!!

Stef

Our oldest DS was 3 1/2 on our Dream cruise last September, and he couldn't get enough! The first night was a bit of sensory overload, but by the end of the fourth night he was running on whatever they add to the sugar in the Mickey Bars and Mac n' Cheese!
Well, the princesses weren't his thing but there was enough themed for the boys, too - and he thought Ariel's hair matching mommies was pretty neat!

How was your cruise during September last year? Weather wise?

Hello all
We will be joining you.
myself Janet :surfweb:My DH Gaetano:love:.we will be celebrating our 40 th wedding anniversary on the 23 rd.
there may be family joining us .;)
We are DVC members and visit WDW every year.:cool1:
we have been on a 4 night wonder cruise . Really enjoyed FE although there were only 15 staterooms which was good.
We are from the UK although my DH is Italian.
Looking forward to meeting every one here and the cruise only 501 days to go :yay:

Stef...I've never done a Christmas Disney vaca. Someday. Love the idea of the M&M's and bags! The day before the cruise will be my birthday (20th). 11? times..well...more than 5..LOL.

Welcome Janet and Gaetano. And way to go on the 40 years!

This will be our very first Christmas trip! I will let you know how it goes when we get back on Dec. 29th! :)

Welcome Janet and family! This is the best group of Disney pals you will find out there!!!

So excited for our trip! :) We decided to stay four days at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and 4 days at Disney's Polynesian hotel. We have NEVER stayed on Disney property in Florida before. It is going to be expensive, but I breed Shih Tzu puppies for fun and all the money we get from the puppies goes towards fun trips, so it will all be used for that. :) I am excited!

Anybody know if the Haunted Mansion in Disney World is decked out in Nightmare Before Christmas like it is in Disneyland during Sept-Dec?

Setf- Oh no….first time on site? I’ve been visiting WDW since 1991. First time on site was 2004. I never stayed offsite again.

Hi Vanessa here, first time booking Disney cruise ( cruised others 7 times) will be joining DSIL happy j and DBIL on board:rotfl2: Looking forward to all the new experiences and taking part in the FE fun.
