I am not sure where to post this request but here goes....I am trying to find approx. 5 yards of Mickey-themed polar fleece material. I have searched the net and found lots of cotton and flannel fleece, but no polar fleece for making two adult sized pullover sweaters.

I know it exists - a cousin in Long Beach CA bought some at a Target (I think) or maybe Walmart, but has not been able to find more. She found two patterns. One is red with black Mickey-head silhouettes all over and the other is a royal blue with a full colour running Mickey all over. I have seen both patterns in light cotton, but none in polar fleece.

Has anyone seen this? Just curious where I should be looking. It is only about a two hour drive to Buffalo New York (I am in Canada), or if anyone in California has seen this, I could get my family there to pick it up for me.

If your cousin got it at Wal-Mart, good luck! They tend to get things in seasonally & don't stock them year-round. They may or may not get the same thing in again next season. It can be very frustrating!

I have some of the blue one. It's from Walmart. I haven't seen it in a while, but they do still have some right now, but piratesmate is right. It's kind of out of season. HTH!

The fabric stores around here do massive polar fleece promotions in November and then anything still hanging around in Feb. gets blown out at ridiculously low prices. You may have to wait until next fall and hope a similar pattern is available.

I've purchased some at JoAnn's Fabric if you have those near you too. WalMart does sometimes have it too (although they have more Pooh, etc.)

I saw the red one with black head on it 2 years ago. Didn't buy it right away and it was all gone when I went back. Haven't seen it since! I don't think you will find much for fleece for another couple of months. If you find some, post where you did! I will keep my eyes open!

I have heard from more than 1 person that JoAnns may be a good source. We don't have them in Canada, but my cousin in Calif. will be looking at JoAnns for me. She got hers at WalMart two years ago and ever since I (and she) have been trying to find some more. I'll post as soon as it is found....and a picture of the final result - we are making pull-over sweaters for cool nights in November at WDW. There are 4 adults in our group and only two have the sweaters. Yes, we are envious and want to match!!

We drove down to Buffalo on the weekend and Jo-anns Fabrics had some fabulous fleece fabric. On the WALL of fleece (I swear there were hundreds of patterns!) we found one bolt with a great design. Not sure yet how it will look on a pullover, but the design is a black and white cartoon strip on a white background. Mickey and Minnie look like the classics. Unfortunately, there was only 2-1/2 yards on the bolt, but we figure with some creative cutting and placing, we can get two adult sized pull-overs out of it. I can't wait to get them started and I'll try to post a picture when we finish!! Thanks for all your advice.
