Got an email from All Seasons Travel this morning containing information that Disney has extended it's special Georgia/Florida resident rates for the remainder of the fall season (up until mid-December) on most 3, 4 and 7 night cruises, including the 11/22 Thanksgiving sailing. Check their web site for rates... Here is the link http://www.allseastravel.com

I am so tempted!!! Anyone used All Seasons Travel before??? I may not be able to resist that 11/22 offer.

By the way, according to their site, it the 11/22 Western includes two stops at Castaway Cay, instead of the usual port call at Key West!

WOW if I took my MIL with me for the 11/22 sailing would we be able to get the Fl. resident rate. DH doesn't think the ship is large enough. But for $4,000, we could get 2 cabins.

There has to be one Florida resident per stateroom in order to get the Florida resident rates.

I never even knew GA resident rates were available to begin with? I was surprised when I read that email yesterday at how good the rates were for GA res. Does anyone know if DCL often offers a GA res rate?

that DCL has offered GA residents a discount. DisneyWorld frequently offers special rates for GA residents as well. So, perhaps we are seeing a trend on the part of the marketing department. I suppose they realized we have plenty of avid Disney fans in GA! Keep your fingers crossed for more specials!

Well hello neighbor!!! I am hoping that we will see DCL offer GA res rates! That would be wonderful! I have never seen a res rate for WDW tho. Were they a good deal?

Hey Karl, how about NY resident rates. Guess its not in close driving distance to have people just book it on that quickly.

lets put it this way, if I lived in GA, for my Nov 6 cruise I would have saved over 400 bucks for two people. Good deal for those that can take advantage of it!

The "resident" rates are intended to fill cabins, sometimes last minute. In the major Florida papers you often see advetisements for even better rates than the posted resident rates. Of course you must be able to sail on short notice.

The resident rate availability can also be a bonus to pre-booked cruisers in GTY status. DCL will upgrade the GTY bookings (first), making room in the higher categories for too-good-to-resist specials. You also hear about other free upgrades for assigned cabins, but I'd bet less frequently.

Better to sell the cabin at a discount than not at all.

I wonder if Barb and Tony have a "place" in FL (so they can establish residency)?
