Disney Express Transfer and Car Hire questions?

Flights booked today! for July 17 - For the first time we'll be flying into MCO and using Disney Express Transfer - how does this work…and we were thinking of hiring a car to be delivered on our last day at resort as we're moving onto a villa- Is this possible? Will the car hire companies bring the car to a Disney Resort…and finally…what are the best car hire companies everyones using at the moment. Am soooo excited…everythings changed so much since we last went.

For transfer from the airport to a Disney resort you just go down and check in at the DME desk and they put you on the next coach.

As for car hire the only company I know that deliver a car to you are Car on the Drive but they are really expensive!

There are several companies with pick up points around Disney. Alamo have a depot at the car care centre near MK and will collect you from your resort. Other companies have places at the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd. I would use the one that was cheapest at the time. Now is not a good time to be booking car hire due to the exchange rate.

As the previous poster has said, when you arrive, collect your luggage, clear immigration & customs, then head to the DME area where you check in for your bus.
You need to let Disney know which flight you are on before you leave the UK so if you've not done so by now, give them a call.
There are two car hire center's onsite, one near the MK & the other one in the lobby of the Dolphin hotel.

Thanks guys...we don't go until July 2017...so a while to wait yet. Am I correct in thinking that although we can have Disney transfer when we get there (as we'll be staying at Disney) we will be staying somewhere else on our return day, so do we have to make our own way to the airport e.g our car hire - or do Disney still allow you to use their Express coach?

you only get complimentary shuttle until midnight at the end of your check out day

you will not be eligible for Magical Express to go back to the airport

make sure you choose to drop the car off at another location (pickup at Disney's, drop off at MCO) no additional charge.

Yes I thought that would be the case - so yes I will just state i want to drop off at the airport -

you can also hire cars from the Swan & Dolphin which is on the boardwalk
