Or any other type.....

Did you know yours was coming?

Had you hinted it would be the most magical engagement for you?

----

I really hope its my turn soon....

Jack asks me frequently about 'if' he were to get me right which one would I like, etc.etc.

And we're staying at the best, most romantic perfect hotel on our upcoming Disney Paris trip.....

But I worry he thinks its too obvious, or that I've made the mistake of mentioining how wonderful it would be and telling him about the disney-gagements on here.

I hope I haven't jinxed myself!!!!

My DBF (now DF!) knew how perfect a WDW proposal would be for me, and proposed on the beach outside the Wedding Pavilion in August of this year :teeth:

Good Luck and enjoy your Disneyland Hotel stay!!

Hee, thankyou! Wish me diamonds!

I always say to myself 'right, i'll never mention engagement again', but then i get too exicted reading stories on teh DIS and have to tell Jack....

Did you guess your WDW proposal was coming??

I had NO clue, not at all, completely shocked. I did "know" that whenever he did it, it would probably be Disney, though.

He didn't tell me, but I knew it was coming. In fact, I made sure to tell him ahead of time that if he had a ring, not to pack it in his suitcase but take it in his carry on!! I wasn't thinking about it during the trip, especially because the first day we arrived, my best friend called to tell us her father passed away. That kind of put a damper on things and Tom didn't want to do it immediately after that so he waited until about 1/2 way through the trip.

Lol! I love the carry on instructions!!.

Sorry about your friends dad but congratulations on a disney engagement!! And your upcoming wedding and disney honeymoon!

I'm hoping mine will be a Disney engagement. I'm taking BF for his very first visit at the end of the year and I've flat out told him that I thought it would be a great place to propose (I guess I'm not one for subtlety :rotfl: ) He keeps telling me when he does propose that I won't be expecting it and it will be memorable. I know he wants to ask my parents permission first  and that he'll needs and wants to do that so I don't know. Which means they'll know its coming before I do! The waiting is the hardest part but I'm trying to be patient :rolleyes1

I am in this boat too!! We want to get married about 3 yrs from now after we graduate college but I've told him many times that he has to do it early so we can really plan! lol We have a trip coming up (hopefully, as long as his teacher lets him take his final early *fingers crossed*) Dec. 14-18 and I'm really hoping he will do it then. :) Knowing you guys got proposed to in Disney gives me hope!

Yay! Glad i have you two in my boat too!!

My bf and I go to DLRP jan 25th-28th. I really hope its this trip!!!

I am SO desperate to plan my wedding! Although i think im pretty much planned! Lol.

I never thought knowing something is coming could be SO frustrating! Makes me feel really abd though as i should just be happy he loves me. But i want a wedding!!

I knew mine was coming! My diamond was passed down from my grandmother, so he had to ask me to give it to him to have it set! We went to Disney the next week so I knew what he was thinking.

I almost ruined it though. He wanted to propose during Wishes and we had already seen it once that week, so I wanted to ride instead. We were walking out of Philharmagic when Wishes started and I just wanted to keep riding with no lines! He made me stop and watch and gently put the ring on my finger while I watched. He has bad knees, so there was no dramatic dropping to one knee. So romantic for me though :lovestruc

Good memories!

I totally understand the anxiety of hoping and anticipating that propsal. Me and DBF (now DF!) went to Disney on 10/3-10/7. I wanted him to propose there so much but he was also like "when I propose you won't be expecting it" so I was a little leary that he would think I was expecting it and not do it. But on our first day there (it was also his birthday:) ) we were watching Wishes on the beach of the Poly when he dropped down on one knee and asked me. I really wasn't expecting it on his birthday, but it was the perfect time and place for us. I always stayed at the Poly when I went with my family when I was little and that place just says Disney to me. So it was great that I could add that part of my life to the memories I have of the Poly. We're now planning our Oct 2010 Disney Wedding!!!:dance3:

I wish all of you the best of luck. :grouphug:

Aww, aurora, that is so special and romantic!!!

Jack always says he wants to surprise me. But I'm hoping he's knowledge of my disney love and the fact that after january we might not be back on disney soil until tokyo in 2010 might help him along.

(Although we all know I'll have another paris trip booked within a month of being back!) Just don't tell him that!!

Congratulations on your DFTW!!! What a wonderful day to plan for! I wish I could do it for real! But hopefully I'll only be a year after you!!! :)

Hearing all of your stories give me hope!! :cool1:
I really hope that I can come back in a few months and tell you it happened for me too!!

lol this thread is too funny. I just got back from august and had a disney proposal. I pretty much knew it was coming since i had already picked out the ring and everything:rotfl: but it was still magical and it'll be great to one day take our kids to disney and say oh look this is where daddy proposed:lovestruc. i know i'm such a sap.

That is pretty much the same situation I am in. We just found the perfect ring for my girlfriend and whilst she knows I am going to pop the question at Disney, she doesnt know when or how I am going to do it. I guess that's the surprising part as there are so many different ways it could happen.

Unfortunately, I am having a hard time deciding how I am going to do it, I am trying to research as much as I can so I can make it unique and special for her

Awww, soopafly, thats so sweet!!!!

You give me hope!!!!!

Haha I am sure it will happen sooner than you think! Perhaps he is just waiting for you to forget about it and catch you when you least expect it?

I am really stuck though, I was thinking maybe just leave planning anything and go to city hall on Main street as thats where we are going for our first park and see what they can do for us but, that is pretty risky as there may be nothing :rotfl:

The other part is that this ring just cost me a small fortune and I cant pay to book any additional outside help for another month which again is risky as they may be booked up with other people.

Just remember,

When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you

If your heart is in your dreams
No request is to extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do.

Keep wishing, i'm sure it's going to happen :thumbsup2
