Disney Enchantment Discussion & Reviews Thread (Premiering 9/30)

That's funny, we're the opposite. While Harmonious is impressive because of the all the technology used we didn't even finish watching it. Enchanted was better, but we've seen both and don't really care to waste time trying to stake out a spot to watch them again. The fireworks can be enjoyed from just about anywhere...

Went Dec 17-26 and saw both. I really want both shows to look way better in person, but in the end I could not get over how disorganized they were. To be positive they were not cheap with fireworks and how brightly colored the projected lights were. HarmoniUs was especially loud and gaudy. They were like PowerPoint presentations that were flashy with animations everywhere, but did poor job in getting a message across.

The technology is great but the art is lacking. They just need to pay good money to whoever arranged the Lion King show, HEA, Wishes, etc to have one song flow smoothly into another. It should not be a song list where each song comes to an abrupt end then another starts. A song should only be used if it fits well, not because the IP needed to be advertised.

I actually thought it wasn’t bad when I saw the video online but did not care for it in person. The projections don’t seem to “map” to the castle and if you did not have a perfect front-on view it was hard to see what was going on.

Finally saw it in person earlier this month and my mind has not changed. It's just not good. As a family MK Fireworks are no longer a must do. On another night of MK we overheard cast members even making fun of it. I laughed when one said "And now the worst lyric in Disney History" and then You are the Magic kept being repeated. I know it was unprofessional of them, but I agree with them.

Saw them both a couple of weeks ago, had low expectations for both going in and it turned out that even low expectations were too high. Very disappointing for all the same reasons everyone else has mentioned. Will not go out of my way to see them again and we go often. We tried to watch Illuminations and Wishes/HEA multiple times per trip. I’m particularly distraught over the loss of HEA - I LOVED that show and it wasn’t around very long. :sad1:

I feel like they impacted the flow of Epcot by adding the anxiety of the viewing angle on Harmonious. Illuminations was great because no matter where you were you got the same experience - unless you were directly in line of one of the lagoon islands with the trees. The camping starts hours before now, where you could get a good spot 10-20 minutes prior.

That's the one thing I can't abide on vacations, wasting hours just camping spots to see something.

I'm a generally very pessimistic person who will admit she is maybe too nitpicky sometimes and went in biased...so I'll just say that I saw this with my sister, who is none of those things, and she hated it, too.

Possibly a stupid question but I've been trying to search - is Enchantment always at park close or always at 8pm? Our MK day the park was scheduled to close at 8pm so Enchantment was at 8. Now park close has been moved to 10pm but when I searched for Enchantment the app still says it's at 8pm?
