Disney ejects Alex Morgan *USA Women's Soccer Player* from Epcot

I applaud her leadership. Someone had to step up and take over Hope Solo's role this year for off-the-field antics. It's a little sad, though, really - I might expect such behavior from the ringers on the Dominican little league teams during their annual DATW at Epcot, but the Women's National Team? Say it aint' so!

I don’t follow soccer or know any of these people. What I find disturbing in that the photo in this story that shows this group at the Japanese pavilion is that one of these people is holding a baby. It is one thing to get so drunk that you get kicked out of a Disney park but you are in this group with a baby? I don’t think this is Alex Morgan but if whoever this is was with a group to get wasted at Disney they should leave the baby home.

I'm not sure what the issue is, do you think the baby will be drinking too?

I suppose it's possible that the couple with the baby just met up for dinner and wasn't part of the ongoing party afterwards.

Then again, seeing the way the guy is holding that baby in the air, I'm not so sure. :o

Is it too much to hope that they threw them out like this? ;)

Unless one of the baby’s parents was ejected, I wouldn’t rush to judgement that they were involved in the boozy reveling. It looks like a pretty young infant, the mom might even still be on maternity leave and if she’s breastfeeding it might be a total production leaving the baby with another caregiver (and as far as any thoughts on drinking while breastfeeding, we have no proof that the mom had anything to drink).

Of course not. I just don't think you are able to safely take care of a baby if you are a part of a group of drunks that is misbehaving enough to get thrown out of EPCOT.

She brought the baby so she could get drunk and belligerent and not have to worry about other guests coming after her for fear of injuring the baby.

LOL, I was joking.
I have no issue with a baby being there with their parents as long the parents aren't stumbling around plastered. Like the poster above mentioned, you have no idea if the parents were even drinking. It was a large group of people and a few were escorted out.
Of course I'm Irish so....

I certainly wouldn't go that far, I never feel it's unsafe in Epcot, or anywhere on WDW property. But I will say that we don't go into the World Showcase later at night. We don't drink, and I know I'm in the very small minority, but I don't really have interest in being around drunks. Happy drunks, sad drunks, belligerent drunks, no thanks. I know, I know, not everyone get stinking drunk, I'm fully aware of that. But even if it's just a handful, ugh... So for me, it's not a safety thing at all, just something I personally dislike.

Really? It's been quite a while since I last went to WDW, so maybe things have changed, but my memories of EPCOT are different. We always took advantage of the EMH at whichever park had it, including EPCOT. I only remember two instances of loud drunks, and both times were in broad daylight in the middle of the afternoon We have fond memories of staying at EPCOT until midnight (and The Magic Kingdom until 3:AM!) Oh, how I miss those days! (We don't drink either)
